Simon Kenton defeated Oldham County by the score of 31-9. Simon Kenton recorded 13 first downs and 371 yards of total offense. The Pioneers were penalized four times for 40 yards. Oldham County recorded 12 first downs and 162 yards of total offense. The Dragons were penalized twice for 20 yards and suffered two turnovers.

Landon Brown led Simon Kenton’s ground game with 76 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries. Grant Webb carried the ball six times for 40 yards. Jordan Pendleton recorded 36 yards and a touchdown on six carries. Jason Rabe carried the ball once for seven yards and a touchdown. Grant Webb completed eight of nine passes for 141 yards. Grayson Harris completed his only pass for 71 yards and a touchdown. Grayson Harris caught six passes for 95 yards. Forest Hughes caught one pass for 71 yards and a touchdown. Landon Brown added one reception for 24 yards. Jordan Pendleton caught one pass for 22 yards. Tucker Ober led the defense with eight solo and four assisted tackles. Jason Rabe added five solo and four assisted tackles. Jayden Rutherford recorded five assisted tackles. Brayden Schoborg chipped in with three solo and one assisted tackles. Jordan Pendleton added two solo and two assisted tackles. Kyle King added one solo and three assisted tackles. Eli Mullens recorded three solo tackles. Grayson Harris intercepted a pass and Landon Brown recovered a fumble.

Nash Meredith led Oldham County’s ground game with 57 yards and a touchdowns on 18 carries. Derek Dees carried the ball six times for 11 yards. Jayden Corum recorded 10 yards on six carries. Derek Dees completed nine of 20 passes for 80 yards with one interception. Brooks Kightlinger caught five passes for 46 yards. Jakobi McRoberts added two receptions for 13 yards. Nolan Snyder recorded one catch for 11 yards. Dixon Mount chipped in with one reception for 10 yards. Jess Officer led the defense with eight solo and three assisted tackles. Lincoln Weaver added five solo and two assisted tackles. Madden Brown and Colton Northrop each recorded three solo and three assisted tackles. Ryan Davis chipped in with four solo tackles.

Brian Marshall starred on both sides of the ball to lead Central to a 29-18 victory over Bardstown. Central recorded 335 yards of total offense and had a pass intercepted. Bardstown recorded 208 yards of total offense and had a pass intercepted.

Brian Marshall led Central’s ground game with 157 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries. Demontre Cherry carried the ball 1 times for 95 yards and a touchdown. Phillip Baker also scored a touchdown on the ground. Phillip Baker completed three of six passes for 70 yards and a touchdown with one interception. Jaden Perry caught one pass for 39 yards and a touchdown. Khalen Hadley added one reception for 19 yards. Rashad Johnson caught one pass for 12 yards. Jaylon Benning Watt led the defense with four solo and two assisted tackles. Brian Marshall added four solo tackles and intercepted a pass. Jalen Dantzler recorded one solo and three assisted tackles. Demontre Cherry chipped in with two solo and two assisted tackles. Shane Stikes added three solo tackles.

Sevyn Hamilton led Bardstown’s ground game with 59 yards on 11 carries. Chi Poynter carried the ball once for 14 yards and a touchdown. Tylan Spalding also scored a touchdown on the ground. Carson Riley completed four of 13 passes for 78 yards and a touchdown with one interception. Tylan Spalding completed two of three passes for 30 yards. Elijah Young completed two of three passes for 24 yards. Chi Poynter caught four passes for 88 yards. Tylan Spalding added two receptions for 36 yards. Carson Riley added two catches for eight yards. Louis Kiser led the defense with six solo and two assisted tackles. Xavier Thompson added four solo and three assisted tackles. Devin Newsome recorded six solo and one assisted tackles. Ackrid “KJ” Stafford added five solo and one assisted tackles and intercepted a pass. Jayvyn Montgomery recorded three solo and three assisted tackles. Covington Catholic raced out to a 41-0 lead on their way to a 48-21 victory over Boyd County. Covington Catholic recorded 22 first downs and 457 yards of total offense. The Colonels were penalized one time for 10 yards and lost a fumble. Boyd County recorded 10 first downs and 199 yards of total offense. The Lions were penalized twice for 15 yards.

Dylan Gaiser led Covington Catholic’s ground game with 110 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries. Kiyan Miller carried the ball twice for 53 yards. Mac Cogswell recorded 21 yards on one carry. Cash Harney chipped in with 12 yards and a touchdown on two carries. Logan Sanning carried the ball once for 12 yards and a touchdown. Cash Harney completed 14 of 17 passes for 204 yards and two touchdowns. Dylan Courtney completed his only pass for 13 yards and a touchdown. Owen Pitzer caught four passes for 99 yards and a touchdown. Donovan Bradshaw caught three passes for 29 yards. Logan Sanning added two receptions for 19 yards and a touchdown. Dylan Gaiser and Dylan Courtney each caught one pass for 14 yards. Grant Reardon caught one pass for 13 yards and a touchdown. Jace Thornton returned two kickoffs for 42 yards with a long return of 42 yards. Brandon Smith led the defense with five solo and one assisted tackles. Tucker Evans and Jace Thornton each recorded three solo and one assisted tackles. Owen Pitzer, Luke Lampke, and Jack Keller each recorded three solo tackles.

Kaleb Kelley led Boyd County’s ground game with three yards and a touchdown on two carries. Ian Branham carried the ball once for a one yard touchdown run. Jace Manning completed 18 of 26 passes for 233 yards and a touchdown. Kaleb Kelley caught eight passes for 96 yards and a touchdown. Conner Davis added one reception for 50 yards. Ian Branham recorded two receptions for 38 yards. Kaleb Kelley returned five kickoffs for 86 yards with a long return of 22 yards. James McDaniels returned two kickoffs for 24 yards with a long return of 14 yards. Cameron May returned one kickoff for 19 yards. Kaiden Nottingham led the defense with four solo and one assisted tackles. Ian Branham, Cameron May, Cayden Thompson, James McDaniels, and Caleb Rimmer each recorded three solo tackles. Cooper managed the foggy conditions and a tough opening round opponent to defeat South Oldham by the score of 28-14. Cooper appears to be rounding into playoff shape with their balanced offense and a stingy defense especially after giving up an early touchdown. The Jaguars will need all this as they face their old nemesis Scott County next. Cooper recorded 269 yards of total offense, penalized four times for 25 yards, and did not have any turnovers. South Oldham recorded 239 yards of total offense, penalized seven times for 62 yards. And had one pass intercepted.

Keagan Maher led Cooper’s ground game with 104 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries. Ryker Campbell carried the ball twice for 19 yards. Cam O’Hara also added a rushing touchdown with a 19 yard run. Cam O’Hara completed nine of 15 passes for 133 yards and a touchdown. Drew Hartman caught two passes for 40 yards. Ryker Campbell added two receptions for 29 yards. Max Wethington recorded one catch for 22 yards and a touchdown. Colton Graham chipped in with a 17 yard reception. Corey Freihofer also caught one pass for 17 yards. Max Wehington led the defense with 12 solo and five assisted tackles. Dax Bolen added seven solo and two assisted tackles. Ryker Campbell recorded six solo tackles. Jaymauri Duncan chipped in with three solo and two assisted tackles. Xavier Barbour recorded three solo and one assisted tackles and intercepted a pass. Nick Strunk recorded three solo tackles.

Anthony Dixon led South Oldham’s ground game with 66 yards on 13 carries. Evan Hickerson carried the ball carried the ball five times for 25 yards. Kole Greenwell recorded 19 yards on nine carries. Adrian Miles scored one touchdown on the ground. Adrian Miles completed seven of 17 passes for 121 yards and a touchdown with one interception. Charlie Temple caught three passes for 70 yards. Kolade Dada caught one pass for 37 yards. Anthony Dixon recorded two receptions for 11 yards and a touchdown. Adrian Miles led the defense with six solo and four assisted tackles. Kenji Kordes added four solo and three assisted tackles. Nate McCleese recorded two solo and three assisted tackles. Anthony Dixon chipped in with three solo and one assisted tackles. Blake Dickamore added one solo and two assisted tackles.

George Rogers Clark defeated Tates Creek by the score of 33-6. Tates Creek trailed 7-6 late in the second quarter but in a matter of seconds the proverbial “wheels came off the wagon for Tates Creek”. Tates Creek was on offense and had advanced to the GRC 31 yard line but Haddon Cecil intercepted a Tates Creek pass and returned it to the GRC 45 yard line. Three plays later Braylon Nester scored on a 45 yard run and Levi Ross added the kickto make the score 14-6 with 56 second left to halftime. On the ensuing kickoff Tates Creek fumbled the ball and GRC recovered on the Tates Creek 37 yard line. Brylon Nester immediately threw a 37 yard touchdown pass to Haddon Cecil to make the score 20-6 with 42 seconds remaining until halftime. Once again Tates Creek fumbled the kickoff and GRC recovered at the GRC 42. Tates Creek intercepted a GRC pass late to get to halftime without any further damage but could not get back in the game after halftime and GRC rolled to the victory.

George Rogers Clark recorded 17 first downs and 338 yards of total offense. The Cardinals were penalized four times for 33 yards and had one pass intercepted. Tates Creek recorded eight first downs and 200 yards of total offense. The Commodores were penalized 12 times for 106 yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.

Stryker Davidson led George Rogers Clark’s ground game with 145 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries. Braylon Nester carried the ball 14 times for 100 yards and three touchdowns. Landon Belcher recorded 66 yards on 15 carries. Braylon Nester completed one of two passes for 37 yards and a touchdown with one interception. Haddon Cecil caught a 37 yard touchdown reception. Braylon Nester returned one kickoff for 36 yards. Scotty Mitchell led the defense with four solo and three assisted tackles. Braylon Nester added three solo and one assisted tackles. Jake Thompson recorded one solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss. Evan Davenport also recorded one solo and two assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards. Haddon Cecil recorded one solo and two assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned 36 yards. Wyatt Jackson recovered a fumble.

BJ Evans led Tates Creek’s ground game with 19 yards on eight carries. Darnell Burnside carried the ball three times for 16 yards. Darnell Burnside completed 11 of 20 passes for 123 yards and one touchdown with one interception. Ace Davis completed two of two passes for 42 yards. Triston Taylor caught five passes for 89 yards. JT Cooper added five receptions for 30 yards and a touchdown. Luke Cooper recorded three receptions for 46 yards. Triston Taylor returned two kickoffs for 49 yards with a long return of 32 yards. Lazarey Warren returned one kickoff for 10 yards. JT Cooper returned one kickoff for nine yards. Dvaughn Flowers led the defense with five solo and five assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards. Shawn Taylor added six solo and two assisted tackles. Rekus Greer recorded five solo and four assisted tackles. Aberian Dean chipped in with four solo and three assisted tackles. Max Stump added three solo and three assisted tackles. Daymond Griffin added three solo and one assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards. Nazir Sanford intercepted a pass he returned for 20 yards.

Bryan Station dialed long distance on offense with four TDs on the ground more than 45 yards and the defense held Lafayette to 40 yards total offense and forced four turnovers in a 39-0 victory. Bryan Station recorded 14 first downs and 345 yards of total offense. The Defenders were penalized nine times for 119 yards. Lafayette recorded seven first downs and 40 yards of total offense. The Generals were penalized four times for 30 yards, lost three fumbles, and had one pass intercepted.

Avery Johnson led Bryan Station’s ground game with 144 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries. Jordan Haskins carried the ball nine times for 117 yards and two touchdowns. Kerwin Montgomery recorded 44 yards on six carries. Kamani Barbour chipped in with 23 yards on two carries. Raymond Young 10 yards and a touchdown on two carries. Jordan Haskins completed three of 16 passes for 49 yards and a touchdown. Brayden Payne caught two passes for 24 yards and a touchdown. Kamani Barbour added one reception for 25 yards. Kamani Barbour returned one kickoff for 22 yards. Ethan Thomas led the defense with five solo and one assisted tackles with four of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 23 yards. Ronnik Woolfork added three solo and one assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling nine yards. Joel Ndayisaba recorded three solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling seven yards. Geordan Brannon chipped in with two solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 10 yards. Jordan Haskins added two solo tackles and intercepted a pass. YaYa Chenault chipped in with two solo and one assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 23 yards. Scott County defeated Conner by the score of 48-7. Scott County recorded 20 first downs and 423 yards of total offense. The Cardinals were penalized four times for 25 yards. Conner recorded 10 first downs and 167 yards of total offense. The Cougars lost one fumble and had four passes intercepted.

Jayden Garrett led Scott County’s ground game with 92 yards on four carries. Jay Herring carried the ball seven times for 62 yards and a touchdown. Skyler Way recorded 37 yards and a touchdown on seven carries. Jam Herring chipped in with 37 yards and a touchdown on seven carries. JT Wells carried the ball four times for 35 yards. Charlie Ellison carried the ball twice for 35 yards and two touchdowns. Timmy Emongo added 23 yards on two carries. Charlie Ellison completed three of three passes for 89 yards and one touchdown. Red Owens caught two passes for 81 yards and a touchdown. Timmy Emongo returned one kickoff for 17 yards. Ju Ju Harmon led the defense with four solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a two yard loss. Grayson Montgomery led Conner’s ground game with 37 yards on five carries. Cordion Abernathy carried the ball 11 times for 25 yards. J. Hernandez recorded 24 yards on two carries. Grayson Montgomery completed eight of 16 passes for 75 yards and a touchdown with four interceptions. Abraham Koller caught two passes for 56 yards and a touchdown. J. Hernandez returned three kickoffs for 20 yards with a long return of 15 yards. Cordion Abernathy returned one kickoff for 16 yards. Lexington Christian utilized their big play capability (four touchdowns over 40 yards) to defeat Metcalfe County by the score of 35-13. Lexington Christian Academy recorded 10 first downs and 306 yards of total offense. The Eagles were penalized once for 13 yards and lost a fumble. Metcalfe County recorded 15 first downs and 301 yards of total offense. They were penalized three times for 13 yards and lost a fumble.

Bennett Gudalis led Lexington Christian Academy’s ground game with 56 yards and a touchdown on two carries. Daven Hood carried the ball once for 52 yards and a touchdown. Nash Whalen completed four of four passes for 143 yards and three touchdowns. Jeremiah Burbage caught two passes for 76 yards and a touchdown. Sam Pearson added two receptions for 67 yards and two touchdowns. Daven Hood returned one punt for 11 yards and Harrison Samford returned one kickoff for 13 yards. Allen Cox led the defense with five solo and two assisted tackles. Harrison Samford added three solo and four assisted tackles. Easton Justice recorded four solo and one assisted tackles. Aiden Lyons chipped in with three solo and one assisted tackles. The Broncos were penalized nine times for 119 yards. Henry Clay recorded 11 first downs and 134 yards of total offense. The Blue Devils were penalized twice for 26 yards.

Jeremiah Turner led Frederick Douglass’ ground game with 69 yards and two touchdowns on five carries. Carter Ross carried the ball five times for 46 yards and a touchdown. Dakari Talbert carried the ball once for 30 yards and a touchdown. Jayden Guzman also ran for a touchdown. Jayden Guzman completed four of four passes for 86 yards and two touchdowns. Brady Ross completed two of four passes for 29 yards. Dakari Talbert caught one pass for 50 yards and a touchdown. Lincoln Wallace, Terry Cayson, Kane Pointer, and Karlan Morton each caught one pass for 17,16, 15, and 12 yards respectively. TJ Stewart added a five yard touchdown reception. Antoine Webb added two receptions for 27 yards and a touchdown. Chaii Paris returned four kickoffs for 62 yards including a long return of 19 yards. Antoine Webb returned one kickoff for 19 yards.
