Jack Gohmann, 6-4 Sr. Peyton Pelfrey, 6-2 Sr. Jackson Smith, 6-2 Jr. Ben Johnson, and 6-3 Sr. Luke Wedding.  Tates Creek coach Jarrod Gay countered with 6-3 Sr. Mykel Waide, 6-2 Sr. Amari Taylor, 6-4 Jr. Josh DuToit, 5-6 Sr. Maxwell Morton, and 5-10 Sr. Cion Townsend.

 

Lexington Catholic defeated Tates Creek by the score of 72-52.  Lexington Catholic shot 46.3% from the field including three of 15 from the three point line.  The Knights connected on 19 of 23 free throws, pulled down 43 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 10 Tates Creek turnovers.  Tates Creek shot 26.8% from the field including three of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Commodores connected on 19 of 24 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 12 Lexington Catholic turnovers. 

 

Ben Johnson led Lexington Catholic with 30 points including five of five free throws, nine rebounds, three assists, and two blocked shots.  Jack Gohmann added 19 points and five rebounds.  Jackson Smith recorded seven points, eight rebounds, two assists, and two blocked shots.

 

Amari Taylor led Tates Creek with 19 points including seven of eight free throws, seven rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Cion Townsend added nine points, four rebounds, and two steals.  Josh DuToit recorded eight points and three rebounds.

Belmont raced out to a 30-21 halftime lead on their way to a 60-50 victory over Eastern Kentucky University.  Belmont shot 33.8% from the field including seven of 30 from the three point line.  They connected on nine of 10 free throws, pulled down 49 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 12 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky shot 29.9% from the field including five of 22 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on five of 12 free throws, pulled down 46 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 12 Belmont turnovers.

 

Adam Kunkel led Belmont with 15 points including two three point baskets, six rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  Grayson Murphy added 10 points, eight rebounds, and two assists.  Nick Muszynski recorded eight points, eight rebounds, three assists, and two blocked shots.  6-11 Sr. Seth Adelsperger chipped in with six points, six rebounds, and two blocked shots.

 

6-0 Jr. Russhard Cruickshank led Eastern Kentucky with 15 points including four three point baskets and two steals.  Jomaru Brown added 12 points, nine rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Tre King recorded six points and seven rebounds.  6-9 Sr. Lachlan Anderson chipped in with five points and nine rebounds.

Bullitt East coach Chris Stallings started the following lineup: 5-10 Sr. Lexi Taylor, 5-8 Sr. Caroline Scott, 5-11 Sr. Kennedy Griffin, 5-3 Sr. Emily Ezell, and 5-7 So. Emma Egan.  Butler coach Wyatt Foust countered with 5-10 Jr. Tiarra East, 5-8 Jr. Leslie Baxter, 6-1 So. Tamesha Dozier, 5-3 Jr. Chardrea Satori, and 5-7 Jr. Dyanstee White.

 

Bullitt East outscored Butler 16-6 in the final quarter to score a 49-40 come-from-behind victory over Butler.  There were nine ties and nine lead changes in the game.  Bullitt East shot 30% from the field including six of 14 from the three point line.  The Lady Chargers connected on 19 of 26 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored six points off 13 Butler turnovers.  Butler shot 36.4% from the field including two of 12 from beyond the arc.  The Bearettes connected on six of 11 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored four points off eight Bullitt East turnovers. 

 

Kennedy Griffin led Bullitt East with 15 points including three three point baskets, six rebounds, and two assists.  Lexi Taylor added 13 points including eight of 10 free throws, 10 rebounds, two assists, two blocked shots, and two steals.  Emma Egan recorded eight points and four rebounds.  Caroline Scott added 10 points, five rebounds, and two steals.

 

Tiarra East led Butler with 14 points and 10 rebounds.  Dyanstee White added 10 points and six rebounds.  Leslie Baxter chipped in with seven points.
