Morehead state university coach Greg Todd started the following lineup: 6-1 So. Ellie Jo Johnson, 6-0 Fr. Ariel Kirkwood, 6-1 Sr. Jaleesa Avery, 5-5 Sr. Breuna Jackson, and 5-10 Fr. Tomiyah Alford.  Eastern Kentucky University coach Samantha Williams countered with 6-0 Sr. Catie Kaifes, 5-11 Jr. Bria Bass, 6-2 Jr. I’Liyah Green, 5-6 Jr. Teri Goodlett, and 5-6 Jr. Qay Stanton.

Eastern Kentucky University utilized a 27-12 advantage over Morehead state in the second quarter to earn a 64-58 victory.  Eastern Kentucky shot 33.9% from the field including seven of 22 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on 17 of 22 free throws, pulled down 45 rebounds, and scored eight points off 15 Morehead State turnovers.  Morehead State shot 35.2% from the field including five of 19 from beyond the arc.  The Golden Eagles connected on 15 of 22 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 21 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.

Bria Bass led Eastern Kentucky University with 14 points, four rebounds, and four steals.  Catie Kaifes added 13 points including three three point baskets, eight rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Teri Goodlett recorded 12 points including four of four free throws, six rebounds, and six assists.  5-7 Jr. De’Ayra Davis chipped in with seven points including two three point baskets. I’Liyah Green recorded four points, 11 rebounds, and two steals.

5-9 Jr. Jazzmyn Elston led Morehead State University with 19 points including two three point baskets and four rebounds.  Ariel Kirkwood added 11 points, three rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Ellie Jo Johnson recorded 10 points and 11 rebounds.  Breuna Jackson chipped in with seven points, two rebounds, and two assists.
