Bourbon County coach Lamont Campbell started the following lineup: 6-5 Sr. Mukonkole Lukonga, 6-4 Jr. Jack Huckabay, 6-7 Sr. Brycen Collins, 5-9 Sr. Nakyir Joyce, and 6-1 Sr. Amirion Joyce. Scott County coach Tim Glenn countered with 6-4 Jr. Elias Richardson, 6-0 Sr. Josh Bredwood, 6-6 Sr. Terrin Hamilton, 5-10 Jr. Chase Grigsby, and 6-0 Sr. Aaron Leake.
Bourbon County pulled away in the second half to defeat Scott County by the score of 88-79. The score was tied five times and there were seven lead changes in the game. Bourbon County shot 51.8% from the field including three of 10 from the three point line. The Colonels connected on 27 of 33 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 13 Scott County turnovers. Scott County shot 49.1% from the field including eight of 19 from beyond the arc. The Cardinals connected on 15 of 18 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored nine points off five Bourbon County turnovers.
Amirion Joyce led Bourbon County with 32 points including 12 of 13 free throws and four assists. Brycen Collins added 14 points including three three point baskets, four rebounds, and three blocked shots. Nakyir Joyce recorded 13 points including seven of eight free throws, five rebounds, six assists, and three steals. 6-5 Sr. Nathan Mack chipped in with 12 points, six rebounds, and three steals.
Elias Richardson led Scott County with 29 points including eight of nine free throws. Aaron Leake added 17 points including three three point baskets, four rebounds, and five assists. Terrin Hamilton recorded 12 points, 14 rebounds, five assists, and two blocked shots. Chase Grigsby chipped in with 11 points including three three point baskets, seven assists, and two steals.
