Eastern Kentucky University coach AW Hamilton started the following lineup: 6-7 Fr. Michael Moreno, 6-3 Sr. Ty Taylor, 6-8 So. Tre King, 6-0 Jr. Russhard Cruickshank, and 6-2 So. Jomaru Brown.  Tennessee Tech coach John Pelphrey countered with 6-5 Fr. Tujautae Williams, 6-5 Sr. Darius Allen, 6-9 Fr. Reece Wilkinson, 6-0 Jr.Jr. Clay, and 6-2 Fr. Keishawn Davidson.

 

Eastern Kentucky led by 16 in the second half and held on for an 80-74 victory over Tennessee Tech University.  Eastern Kentucky shot 45.5% from the field including 10 of 23 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on 10 of 13 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 20 Tennessee Tech turnovers.  Tennessee Tech shot 51.8% from the field including seven of 25 from beyond the arc.  The Golden Eagles connected on nine of 11 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 11 points off seven Eastern Kentucky turnovers.

 

Jomaru Brown led Eastern Kentucky University with 31 points including 31 points including six three point baskets, five of five free throws, and four rebounds.  Michael Moreno added 11 points and six rebounds.  Ty Taylor recorded 10 points including two three point baskets.  Tre King chipped in with nine points and two steals.  6-2 Jr. Jacquess Hobbs recorded six points, four rebounds, and nine assists.

 

Jr. Clay led Tennessee Tech with 14 points including three three point baskets, five rebounds, and three assists.  Tujautae Williams added 10 points, seven rebounds, and two assists.  6-8 So. Amadou Sylla recorded 10 points, eight rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Keishawn Davidson also scored 10 points.
