Boyle County rolled up 456 yards of total offense and took advantage of seven Lexington Catholic turnovers in a dominating 54-7 victory over the Knights. Boyle County recorded 16 first downs and 456 yards of total offense. The Rebels were penalized 14 times for 100 yards. Lexington Catholic recorded 11 first downs and 201 yards of total offense. The Knights were penalized six times for 55 yards, lost five fumbles, and had two passes intercepted.
Andrew Sacco led Boyle County’s ground game with 114 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries. Will McDaniel carried the ball nine times for 75 yards and two touchdowns. Reed Lanter completed 11 of 13 passes for 238 yards and three touchdowns. Reese Smith caught six passes for 109 yards and two touchdowns. Reiley Colwick added two receptions for 97 yards. Cole Lanter caught two passes for 22 yards and a touchdown. Wilson Kelly led the defense with four solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 13 yards and recovered a fumble he returned nine yards. Will McDaniel added three solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a six yard loss. Hayden Bottoms recorded three solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a seven yard loss. Andrew Sacco, Cash Logan, Cole Lanter, and Ezarious “Eazy” Roller each recovered a fumble. Landon Bartleson and Reese Smith each intercepted a pass and Smith scored on his 65 yard interception return.
Ryan Nichols led Lexington Catholic’s ground game with 14 yards on five carries. Beau Allen completed 14 of 25 passes for 226 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions. Blake Busson caught five passes for 98 yards. Jack Monday added two receptions for 48 yards. Jack Gohmann recorded two catches for 37 yards. Jackson Corbett caught a 23 yard touchdown reception. JD Woodall returned three kickoffs for 86 yards with a long return of 35 yards. Dylan Bracken returned five kickoffs for 85 yards with a long return of 21 yards. Dylan Bracken led the defense with four solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss. Kiwanga Mafuta added four solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a 12 yard loss. JD Woodall recorded four solo tackles and Phillipe Irumva addd three solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a seven yard loss.
