John Hardin went on a 31-13 run in the second quarter to take control on their way to an 83-60 victory and the championship and remain undefeated on the season. John Hardin shot 63.5% from the field including 11 of 23 from the three point line. The Bulldogs connected on six of 12 free throws and pulled down 30 rebounds. Knox Central shot 41.2% from the field including three of seven from beyond the arc. The Panthers connected on 15 of 20 free throws and pulled down 22 rebounds.
6-5 Jr. Alex Matthews led John Hardin with 22 points and nine rebounds. 6-0 Sr. Jachai Walker added 17 points including five three point baskets and nine assists. 6-9 Jr. Preston Murrell recorded 14 points and six rebounds. 6-1 Sr. Aaron Scott chipped in with 12 points on four three point baskets. 6-2 Jr. Trevon Harris added nine points and eight rebounds. Alex Matthews was named Tournament MVP and was joined on the All-Tournament Team by teammates Jachai Walker, Preston Murrell, and Aaron Scott.
5-10 Sr. Dane Imel led Knox Central with 21 points and five rebounds. 6-2 Sr. Jaylen Adams added 13 points including seven of eight free throws, seven rebounds, and four assists. 6-6 Sr. Nick Martin recorded 12 points. Dane Imel, Jaylen Adams, and Nick Martin were all named to the All-Tournament Team.
