Scott County coach Steve Helton started the following lineup: 6-0 So. Kenady Tompkins. 5-10 Sr. Maaliya Owens, 6-2 Jr. Malea Williams, 5-5 Sr. Juliette Smith, and 5-5 Jr. Morgan DeFoor. Clay County coach James Burchell countered with 5-8 Sr. Shelby Phillips, 5-7 Fr. Courtney Jones, 5-9 Sr. Summer Parker, 5-6 Sr. Kimberlyn Mills. And 5-9 Jr. Kaylee Mathis.
Scott County defeated Clay County by a score of 57-47. Scott County shot 40.7% from the field including three of 19 from the three point line. The Lady Cardinals connected on six of 11 free throws, pulled down 45 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 13 Clay County turnovers. Clay County shot 35.4% from the field including 10 of 34 from beyond the arc. The Lady Tigers connected on three of seven free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored eight points off 11 Scott County turnovers.
Morgan DeFoor led Scott County with 15 points, four rebounds, and two steals. Malea Williams added 14 points, 13 rebounds, and three blocked shots. Maaliya Owens recorded 11 points including two three point baskets. Kenady Tompkins added nine points and 16 rebounds.
Kaylee Mathis led Clay County with 14 points including three three point baskets, eight rebounds, and three steals. Summer Parker led 10 points on five of six free throws. Shelby Phillips chipped in with eight points.
