Lexington Catholic coach Scott True started the following lineup: 5-9 Fr. Chloe Treece, 5-5 Sr. Catey Nash, 5-8 Sr. Maylo Given, 5-7 So. Farah Weldon, and 5-7 Sr. Jay Ballard. Lafayette coach Allison Denton countered with 5-10 Sr. Lindi DeBilzan, 5-11 Fr. Anaya Brown, 5-11 Sr. Macey Goff, 5-6 Jr. Tionna Sanford, and 5-6 Fr. Lauren Walton.
Lexington Catholic defeated Lafayette 65-55 in a game that featured 56 turnovers, 60 fouls, 77 free throws, and two technical fouls called on Lafayette. Lexington Catholic shot 39.5% from the field including four of eight from the free throw line. The Lady Knights connected on 31 of 41 free throws, pulled down 43 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 22 Lafayette turnovers. Lafayette shot 25.4% from the field including one of 17 from beyond the arc. The Lady Generals connected on 24 of 36 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 29 points off 34 Lexington Catholic turnovers.
Jay Ballard led Lexington Catholic with 28 points including 19 of 22 free throws and six rebounds. Chloe Treece added 14 points and four rebounds. Maylo Given pulled down seven rebounds.
Lindi DeBilzan led Lafayette with 30 points, nine of 11 free throws, five rebounds, and seven steals. Macey Goff added 11 points, 10 rebounds, and seven steals. Anaya Brown recorded five points, six rebounds, and four steals.
