Whitley County outscored Corbin 27-16 in the second quarter on their way to a 76-67 victory over Corbin. Corbin rallied and cut the margin to one; 61-60 midway through the final quarter but Whitley County pulled away for the victory. The victory was costly for Whitley County as they lost 5-4 So. Hallie Jones with an ankle injury. Corbin was plagued by poor free throw shooting as they were only able to connect on nine of 25 from the charity stripe.
Whitley County shot 57.1% from the field including 10 of 21 from the three point line. They connected on 18 of 25 from the free throw line and pulled down 28 rebounds. Corbin shot 44.1% from the field including six of 13 from beyond the arc. They connected on nine of 25 free throws and pulled down 24 rebounds.
5-7 Jr. Brandi Smith led Whitley County with 33 points including 14 of 16 free throws and pulled down seven rebounds. 5-8 Jr. Maria Johnson added 13 points and seven rebounds. 5-4 Sr. Bethany Powers chipped in with 10 points.
5-7 Jr. Kayla Wilson and 5-6 Jr. Miranda Wilson led Corbin with 15 points each. 6-0 Sr. Holli Disney added 11 points and seven rebounds. 5-7 Jr. Sarah Ashley also recorded 11 points.
