Martell Berry scored on a one yard run as time expired to cap a seven minute drive and give Tates Creek a 13-7 victory over Paul L. Dunbar.  Tates Creek improves to 3-4 while Paul L. Dunbar remains without a victory at 0-6.  Tates Creek recorded 19 first downs and 279 yards of total offense.  The Commodores were penalized five times for 38 yards and had a pass intercepted.  Dunbar recorded eight first downs and 126 yards of total offense.  The Bulldogs were penalized five times for 50 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted.

Dennis Oxendine led Tates Creek’s ground game with 175 yards and a touchdown on 34 carries.  Casey Grimes carried the ball four times for 63 yards.  Martell Berry was zero of 10 through the air with one interception.  Taylor Grimes led the defense with two solo and three assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totalling five yards.  William Hardin and Cal Stewart each recorded one solo and four assisted tackles with William Hardin intercepting a pass.

Antwan Williams led Dunbar’s ground game with 25 yards on seven carries.  Isaih Olige carried the ball seven times for 21 yards.  Blake Martin completed five of 12 passes for 61 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions.  J. Armstrong caught two passes for 43 yards and a touchdown.  Seth Haga led the defense with six solo and seven assisted tackles.  Andre Jones added two solo and 10 assisted tackles.

Jaleen Sleet returned a kickoff 82 yards with 41 seconds left in the game and William Johnson scored on a two point conversion run to give Lafayette a 26-19 victory over Bryan Station.  The game was delayed in the second half when Lafayette QB Garrett Peavler suffered an injury and was taken from the stadium in an ambulance after being tackled on a blitz.  Lafayette improves their record to 5-2 while Bryan Station falls to 4-2.

Lafayette recorded 10 first downs and 207 yards of total offense.  The Generals were penalized seven times for 98 yards and lost a fumble.  Bryan Station recorded 14 first downs and 142 yards of total offense.  The Defenders were penalized three times for 40 yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.

William Johnson led Lafayette’s ground attack with 61 yards on 18 carries.  Garrett Peavler completed five of 14 passes for 90 yards and a touchdown.  Jeremy Smith completed four of six yards for 35 yards and a touchdown.  William Johnson caught five passes for 49 yards and a touchdown.  Darius Hughes added two receptions for 39 yards and a touchdown.  Tranard Chester added two receptions for 37 yards.  Justin Carr led the defense with 11 solo and five assisted tackles.  Chris Oldham added five solo and one assisted tackles with four of his tackles resulting in losses totalling 19 yards.  Andy Hampton chipped in with four solo and two assisted tackles.  TJ Broadus recorded two solo and three assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totalling 25 yards.

LJ Warfield led Bryan Station’s ground game with 53 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries.  LeDarius Jackson carried the ball seven times for 45 yards.  Ora Johnson completed seven of 17 passes for 63 yards.  Kenyon Hippe caught four passes for 45 yards.  Everett Talbert led the defense with eight solo and three assisted tackles with 5.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totalling 17 yards.  Raking Young and Austin Hendron each recorded two solo and three assisted tackles.

Lexington Catholic defeated Boyle County 20-13 tonight to break a six game losing streak at the hands of the Rebels.  Lexington Catholic improves to 6-1 while Boyle County falls to 4-3 for the season.  Boyle County put together a 10 minute play in the final quarter which resulted in a missed field  goal.  Lexington Catholic scored the winning touchdown on a 77 yard TD pass from Kyle Bolin to Casey Nash with 4:57 left on the clock.  Boyle County had one more opportunity but a fourth down pass from the LexCath 29 yard line resulted in an interception.  Kyle Bolin moved the team through the air tonight as the Lexington Catholic ground game was held to 1.3 yards per carry on 17 rushing attempts.

Lexington Catholic recorded 18 first downs and 391 yards of total offense.  The Knights were penalized seven times for 45 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.  Boyle County recorded 21 first downs and 320 yards of total offense.  The Rebels were penalized six times for 49 yards and had a pass intercepted.

Kyle Bolin led Lexington Catholic’s ground game with nine yards and a touchdown on six carries.  Kyle Bolin completed 23 of 37 passes for 369 yards and a touchdown with one interception.  Adam Bush caught 11 passes for 115 yards.  David Bouvier caught six passes for 67 yards.  Casey Nash added five receptions for 186 yards and a touchdown.  Josh Mesmer led the defense with nine solo and two assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totalling three yards.  Alex Nash and Adam Wachs each recorded four solo and three assisted tackles.

Zach Hester led Boyle County’s ground attack with 75 yards on 17 carries.  Devon Cox carried the ball 17 times for 61 yards,  Casey Whittle completed six of 20 passes for 127 yards and a touchdown with one interception.  Steven Talbott caught two passes for 50 yards and a touchdown.  Zach Hester caught two passes for 34 yards.  Clint Hellyer led the defense with four solo and one assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.  Devon Cox and Austin Muniz also each recorded four solo and one assisted tackles.

Franklin County trailed 21-7 at halftime but exploded in the second half to defeat East Jessamine by a score of 40-29.  The teams combined for a total of 960 yards and the Franklin County win could not overshadow a fantastic effort by East Jessamine RB Cameron Thomas who carried the ball 34 times for 373 yards including touchdown runs of 57, 1, and 76 yards.  The Jaguars were doomed by Franklin County’s 25 point explosion in the third quarter.

Franklin County recorded 15 first downs and 495 yards of total offense.  The Flyers were penalized five times for 55 yards and lost a fumble.  East Jessamine recorded 17 first downs and 465 yards of total offense including 443 yards on the ground.  The Jaguars were penalized seven times for 43 yards and lost a fumble.

Chris Roberts led Franklin County’s ground game with 123 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries.  Ryan Timmons carried the ball seven times for 102 yards and two touchdowns.  Daniel Anderson carried the ball four times for 87 yards and a touchdown.  Logan Woodside completed 11 of 14 passes for 185 yards and a touchdown.  Greg Maupin caught four passes for 34 yards.  Ryan Timmons caught two passes for 95 yards and a touchdown.  Josh Pedone led the defense with five solo and five assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totalling five yards and recovered a fumble.  Aaron Lackey and James Maddox each recorded six solo and two assisted tackles.  Damani Aziz recorded six solo and one assisted tackles.

Cameron Thomas led East Jessamine’s ground attack with 373 yards and three touchdowns on 34 carries.  Cody Garrett completed one of three passes for 22 yards.  Seth Hunt caught one pass for 23 yards.  Tyler Nguyen led the defense with six solo and one assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totalling seven yards.  Hayden Tatman added five solo and three assisted tackles.

Henry Clay led 28-7 late in the third quarter and survived a late Madison Central rally to earn a 28-27 victory.  Madison Central scored on a six yard run by Dominique Hawkins with 58 seconds remaining in the game and elected to go for a two point conversion but the pass failed and the Blue Devils held on for the victory.

Henry Clay recorded 12 first downs and 315 yards of total offense.  The Blue Devils were penalized three times for 32 yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.  Madison Central recorded 15 first downs and 304 yards of total offense.  The Indians were penalized five times for 40 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.

David George led Henry Clay’s ground game with 78 yards on seven carries.  Davion Jackson carried the ball 21 times for 46 yards and a touchdown.  Christian Todd completed 11 of 13 passes for 178 yards and a touchdown with one interception.  Davion Jackson caught five passes for 46 yards.  Austin Black caught three passes for 108 yards and a touchdown.  Charles McCarty led the defense with six solo and six assisted tackles.  Hagan Bradley added one solo and six assisted tackles and intercepted a pass.

Hunter Stocker led Madison Central’s ground game with 57 yards on 12 carries.  Dominique Hawkins carried the ball 13 times for 50 yards and two touchdowns.  Hunter Stocker completed 10 of 21 passes for 139 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  Kevin Segar caught three passes for 30 yards.  Dominique Hawkins caught two passes for 35 yards and a touchdown.  Hunter Allen added two receptions for 31 yards and a touchdown.  Melvin March led the defense with three solo and 10 assisted tackles.  Jon Floyd added two solo and 11 assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totalling three yards.  Tucker Fair chipped in with five solo and four assisted tackles.  Brandon Parks recorded three solo and six assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totalling nine yards and recovered a fumble.

Lexington Christian Academy 52  Frankfort 14 – LCA’s Justin King had a night to remember as he caught seven passes for 179 yards and four touchdowns.  QB Lincoln Henzman threw scoring strikes of 39, 30, 30, and 60 yards to King and King also returned a punt 60 yards for another touchdown.

Bryan Station 35  Tates Creek 29 – Tates Creek led 22-6 at halftime but Bryan Station rallied for the victory.  LJ Warfield led the victors with 173 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries.  Tates Creek’s Dennis Oxendine carried the ball 26 times for 179 yards and three touchdowns.

Madison Central 47  Paul L. Dunbar 23 – Madison Central’s Dominique Hawkins carried the ball 17 times for 196 yards and two touchdowns.

Franklin County 55  West Jessamine 29 – Franklin County’s Ryan Timmons caught six passes for 213 yards including TD receptions of 62, 24, 49, and 28 yards and scored on a 48 yard run.  QB Logan Woodside completed 15 of 27 passes for 299 yards and five touchdowns.  West Jessamine’s Sean Donaldson scored on interception returns of 70 and 39 yards and 25 yards on a blocked punt return.

Lexington Catholic 48  Mercer County 7 – QB Kyle Bolin completed 12 of 19 passes for 145 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Knights.

Lafayette 14  Henry Clay 0 – William “Bubba” Johnson carried the ball 29 times for 147 yards and two touchdowns and recovered a fumble to lead Lafayette to victory.

Dixie Heights 34  Boone County 27 – QB Zeke Pike threw for an eight yard touchdown and scored on runs of 6, 1, and 25 yards to lead Dixie Heights.

East Jessamine 21  Woodford County 0 – Cameron Thomas ran for 191 yards including TD runs of 10, 64, and 31 yards.

Lafayette defeated Henry Clay by a score of 14-0 to improve their record to 4-2 for the season while Henry Clay falls to 1-5.  Henry Clay had their opportunities but turnovers including two in the redzone sealed their doom tonight.  Lafayette recorded 13 first downs and 242 yards of total offense.  The Generals were penalized four times for 30 yards and had a pass intercepted.  Henry Clay recorded nine first downs and 137 yards of total offense.  The Blue Devils were penalized seven times for 45 yards, lost three fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.

William “Bubba” Johnson led Lafayette’s ground game with 147 yards and two touchdowns on 29 carries.  Garrett Peavler completed seven of 15 passes for 78 yards with one interception.  Tranard Chester caught three passes for nine yards.  Darius Hughes caught two passes for 23 yards.  Jason Ferguson led the defense with five solo and two assisted tackles and intercepted a pass.  Chris Oldham added four solo and two assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totalling five yards.  Andy Hampton and William Johnson also recovered fumbles.

Davion Jackson led Henry Clay’s ground game with 102 yards on 21 carries.  Christian Todd completed three of 10 passes for 19 yards with one interception.  Evander Harris caught one pass for 14 yards.  Hagan Bradley led the defense with seven solo and two assisted tackles.  Cole McCarty added three solo and six assisted tackles.

The score was tied 14-14 at halftime but James Quick energized Trinity as he returned the opening kickoff in the second half 98 yards for a touchdown and Trinity rolled to a 36-14 victory.  Trinity improves to 5-0 while Cathedral falls to 3-3 for the season.  Trinity recorded 11 first downs and 315 yards of total offense.  The Shamrocks were penalized twice for 23 yards and had a pass intercepted.  Cathedral recorded 11 first downs and 200 yards of total offense.  They were penalized twice for 30 yards and lost a fumble.

D. Dawkins led Trinity’s ground game with 136 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries.  T. Wright completed 11 of 18 passes for 171 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  J. Quick caught four passes for 70 yards and a touchdown.  M. Smith added two receptions for 34 yards and a touchdown.  D. Bertram led the defense with five solo and three assisted tackles.  J. Hatcher added five solo and two assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totalling nine yards and recovered a fumble.

G. Gillum led Cathedral’s ground game with 52 yards on 14 carries.  C. Rice completed 12 of 31 passes for 121 yards and two touchdowns.  S. Levingston caught four passes for 65 yards and a touchdown.  L. Cureton added three receptions for 33 yards and a touchdown.  J. Turner led the defense with seven solo and one assisted tackles.  T. Bryan Station rallied from a 22-6 deficit at halftime to defeat Tates Creek by a score of 35-29.  Bryan Station’s Everett Talbert scored on a two yard run and Everett Talbert scored on a two point conversion run to tie the game 22-22 with 6:09 left in the third quarter.  Bryan Station took a 29-22 lead on a three yard run by LJ Warfield and conversion kick by Michael Morton with 5:55 left in the game.  Tates Creek tied the score at 29-29 on a 17 yard pass from Martell Berry to TaVon Dunn and a conversion kick by Jake Ryan with 4:34 left in the game.  Tates Creek attempted an onside kick but Bryan Station recovered on the 50 yard line.  Everett Talbert scored the winning touchdown on a one yard run with 1:45 left on the clock.  Tates Creek had one last chance as Dennis Oxendine returned the kickoff 48 yards to the Bryan Station 37 but Tates Creek was stopped on downs and Bryan Station ran out the clock to improve their record to 4-1.  Tates Creek falls to 2-4 for the year.

Bryan Station recorded 22 first downs and 366 yards of total offense.  The Defenders were penalized 10 times for 108 yards and lost a fumble.  Tates Creek recorded 17 first downs and 327 yards of total offense.  The Commodores were penalized 13 times for 126 yards and lost a fumble.

LJ Warfield led Bryan Station’s ground game with 173 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries.  Ora Johnson completed seven of 17 passes for 116 yards.  Kenyon Hippe caught three passes for 24 yards.  Tyus Alcorn caught two passes for 54 yards.  Everett Talbert led the defense with six solo and one assisted tackles.  Elijah Burdette added five solo and two assisted tackles.  Charles Randle recorded five solo tackles.  Raking Young chipped in with three solo and three assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totalling 12 yards.

Dennis Oxendine led Tates Creek’s ground game with 179 yards and three touchdowns on 26 carries.  Martell Berry completed four of 10 passes for 77 yards and one touchdown.  Keith Denton caught two passes for 51 yards.  TaVon Dunn caught a 17 yard touchdown pass.  RJ Taylor led the defense with five solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a 15 yard loss.  Terrell Moore also recorded five solo and two assisted tackles.
