Owensboro Catholic defeated Henderson County by the score of 41-21. Owensboro Catholic recorded 498 yards and Henderson County recorded 360 yards of total offense.

Noah Rhinerson led Owensboro Catholic’s ground game with 26 yards and a touchdown on two carries. Brady Atwell completed 26 of 39 passes for 446 yards and five touchdowns with one interception. William “Tutt” Carrico caught nine passes for 179 yards and a touchdown. Noah Rhinerson added seven receptions for 124 yards and two touchdowns. Waryn Ebelhar recorded five receptions for 105 yards and two touchdowns. Mitchell Sims chipped in with four receptions for 32 yards. Vince Carrico led the defense with six solo and 17 assisted tackles. William Carrico added eight solo and seven assisted tackles. Miles Edge recorded three solo and eight assisted tackles. Cameron Woodword added seven solo and two assisted tackles.

Anthony Burris led Henderson County’s ground game with 124 yards on 17 carries. Trajdon Harris added 112 yards on 35 carries. Trajdon Harris completed 12 of 20 passes for 150 yards and three touchdowns. Koien Banks caught three passes for 55 yards. Max Thompson added two receptions for 31 yards and a touchdown. Anthony Burris caught a 29 yard touchdown pass. Mason Bridgeman added a seven yard touchdown reception. Jack Ryan Reusch intercepted a pass.

Madison Southern defeated Henry Clay by the score of 36-6. Madison Southern recorded 17 first downs and 299 yards of total offense. The Eagles were penalized five times for 100 yards and lost a fumble. Henry Clay recorded 11 first downs and 198 yards of total offense. The Blue Devils were penalized seven times for 65 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted.

Ethan Moore led Madison Southern’s ground game with 125 yards and a touchdown on six carries. Lukas Mullins carried the ball 13 times for 36 yards. Braeden Kelley recorded 35 yards and a touchdown on six carries. Preston Williams carried the ball four times for 28 yards and a touchdown. Ethan Moore completed three of three passes for 72 yards and a touchdown. Brayden Hall caught one pass for 72 yards and a touchdown. Braeden Kelley returned one kickoff for 45 yards. Braeden Kelley led the defense with four solo and five assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling eight yards nd intercepted a pass he returned 45 yards for a touchdown. Jaxon Perkins added five solo and one assisted tackles. Ethan Diaz recovered a fumble and Ethan Moore intercepted a pass.

Henry Mackey led Henry Clay’s ground game with 49 yards on 12 carries. Rohan Taylor completed 11 of 18 passes for 157 yards and one touchdown with two interceptions. Walden Cole caught five passes for 102 yards and a touchdown. L. Merriman added one reception for 31 yards. Luke Bailey returned two kickoffs for 64 yards with a long return of 47 yards. Scyler Hersey returned two kickoffs for 29 yards with a long return of 20 yards, L. Merriman returned one kickoff for 22 yards. Walden Cole led the defense with four solo and five assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling six yards. Scyler Hersey added three solo and one assisted tackles. Luke Bailey, Luke Helgerson, and J. Mangwele each recorded three solo tackles. Hudson Cole added two solo tackles and recovered a fumble.

Campbell County got off to a great start tonight leading 22-0 after the first quarter on their way to a 43-22 victory over Newport Central Catholic. The defense set the tone as Garyn Jackson intercepted a pass and ran it back 24 yards for a touchdown seconds into the game to take an early lead and Campbell County’s defense shut the Thoroughbreds offense down on the next two possessions. Campbell County recorded 409 yards of total offense, were penalized nine times for 63 yards, and did not turn the ball over tonight. Newport Central Catholic recorded 272 yards of total offense, were penalized nine times for 87 yards, and had one pass intercepted.

Nathan Smith led Campbell County’s ground game with 119 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries. Carson Evers carried the ball seven times for 58 yards. Landon McNabb recorded 46 yards and a touchdown on nine carries. Nathan Smith completed 10 of 17 passes for 137 yards and two touchdowns. Garyn Jackson caught two passes for 66 yards and a touchdown. Xavier Francher caught two passes for 34 yards and a touchdown. Jaiden Combs added four receptions for 28 yards. Aiden Dowds led the defense with five solo and four assisted tackles. Jaseph Amato added five solo and two assisted tackles. Kameron Vickers recorded four solo and three assisted tackles. Hunter Wiseman chipped in with three solo and four assisted tackles. Garyn Jackson intercepted a pass he returned 24 yards for a touchdown.

Kolton Smith led Newport Central Catholic’s ground game with 66 yards on 15 carries. Demetrick Welch carried the ball 13 times for 51 yards and two touchdowns. Kolton Smith completed 17 of 24 passes for 155 yards and one touchdown with one interception. Charlie Ford caught six passes for 61 yards. Demetrick Welch added six receptions for 31 yards and a touchdown. Louie Collopy caught two passes for 29 yards. Chris Meyer added one reception for 23 yards.

Covington Catholic was reeling after a first quarter scoring flurry by Beechwood found them trailing 21-0 after the first quarter. Covington Catholic rallied and took a 35-31 lead with less than two minutes left in the game on a one yard run by Andrew Bessler and a conversion kick by Andrew Weitzel. Beechwood had one last possession but Covington Catholic’s Cash Harney made a big defensive stop by knocking the ball loose from a Beechwood receiver on a fourth-and-five play allowing Covington Catholic to hold on for the victory. Covington Catholic recorded 298 yards of total offense, were penalized once for 15 yards and had two passes intercepted. Beechwood recorded 312 yards of total offense, had six penalties for 46 yards, and lost one fumble.

Evan Pitzer led Covington Catholic’s ground game with 91 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries. Owen Leen carried the ball nine times for 77 yards and one touchdown. Andrew Bessler recorded eight yards and a touchdown on three carries. Evan Pitzer completed 11 of 19 passes for 117 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions. Braylon Miller caught four passes for 43 yards and a touchdown. Oliver Link added three receptions for 25 yards. Noah Johnson caught two passes for 24 yards. Tate Kruer caught a 16 yard touchdown pass. Tate Kruer led the defense with seven solo tackles and recovered a fumble. Andrew Bessler added three solo and two assisted tackles. Owen Leen also recorded three solo and two assisted tackles. Mason Edwards chipped in with three solo tackles.

Tyler Fryman led Beechwood’s ground game with 63 yards and two touchdowns on four carries. Luke Erdman carried the ball four times for 20 yards. Payton Schuler recorded nine yards on six carries. Clay Hayden completed 16 of 25 passes for 240 yards and one touchdown. Chase Flaherty caught five passes for 77 yards. Tyler Fryman caught four passes for 67 yards. James Cusick recorded three receptions for 45 yards and a touchdown. Xavier Campbell intercepted a pass he returned for 28 yards and a touchdown. Tyler Fryman also intercepted a pass.

West Jessamine raced outo a 21-0 lead after three quarters and held on for a 21-14 victory over Lafayette who scored 14 points in the final quarter. West Jessamine recorded 16 first downs and 322 yards of total offense. The Colts were penalized eight times for 65 yards and lost a fumble. Lafayette recorded 13 first downs and 198 yards of total offense. The Generals were penalized five times for 40 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Gabriel Smith led West Jessamine’s ground game with 122 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries. Greer Horne carried the ball 13 times for 82 yards and a touchdown. Bragdon Welch recorded 63 yards on nine carries. Gabriel Smith completed six of 13 passes for 50 yards and one touchdown. Connor Mason caught three passes for 34 yards. Eli Nickell added two receptions for nine yards. Greer Horne caught a seven yard touchdown pass. C. Satterwhite and Eli Nickell each returned one kickoff for 20 and 14 yards respectively. Isaac Maynard led the defense with eight solo and three assisted tackleswith two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards and intercepted a pass he returned 16 yards. C. Nasir Andrews carried the ball twice for 23 yards and a touchdown. C. Giannone added one recption for 24 yards. Terraze Taylor returned three kickoffs for 49 yards with a long return of 30 yards. J. Corbin defeated Frederick Douglass tonight in an old fashioned defensive slugfest by the score of 6-0. Frederick Douglass had one last chance but facing fourth-and -goal on the Corbin 5 yard line with seconds remaining and facing defensive pressure by Jerod Smith Jaxon Strautman’s pass fell incomplete. Corbin recorded 15 first downs and 218 yards of total offense. The Redhounds were penalized three times for 28 yards. Frederick Douglass recorded 13 first downs and 240 yards of total offense. The Broncos were penalized nine times for 92 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted.

Guy Bailey led Corbin’s ground game with 40 yards on 14 carries. Cam Estep carried the ball four times for 14 yards. Kade Elam recorded 12 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries. Bryan Station defeated Tates Creek tonight by the score of 41-0. Bryan Station recorded 19 first downs and 393 yards of total offense. The Defenders were penalized four times for 38 yards. Tates Creek recorded 10 first downs and 165 yards of total offense. The Commodores were penalized four times for 20 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted.

Taendre Clark led Bryan Station’s ground game with 92 yards on six carries. Trenton Cutwright added 87 yards and a touchdown on four carries. Kalen Washington recorded 28 yards on six carries. Avery Johnson carried the ball three times for 25 yards. Trenton Cutwright completed 13 of 23 passes for 132 yards and four touchdowns. Dah’Von Frazier caught five passes for 58 yards and two touchdowns. Javari Burnett added four receptions for 51 yards and two touchdowns. Kamani Barbour recorded three receptions for 26 yards. JT Haskins Jr. returned one punt for 18 yards. Z. White returned one kickoff for 30 yards. The Cardinals were penalized 15 times for 155 yards. Madison Central recorded 12 first downs and 141 yards of total offense. The Indians were penalized five times for 40 yards and lost a fumble.

Jacob Fryman led Scott County’s ground game with 99 yards and a touchdown on seven carries. Thomas Feickert carried the ball four times for 88 yards and a touchdown. Ellis Huguely recorded 79 yards and a touchdown on five carries. Kanye Garrett carried the ball five times for 54 yards and a touchdown. Timmy Emongo added 51 yards and a touchdown on two carries. Buddy Collins carried the ball three times for 32 yards and a touchdown. Andrew Hickey completed three of six passes for 65 yards and a touchdown. Isaac York caught two passes for 31 yards. Eli Lilly caught a 34 yard touchdown reception. Buddy Collins returned one kickoff for 63 yards. Lexington Christian Academy defeated Lexington Cattholic by the score of 49-42 in the latest installment of the Lexington “Holy Wars”. Both teams combined for 91 points, 52 first downs, and 1,042 yards of total offense. One of the key turning points came early in the fourth quarter with LCA clinging to a 42-35 lead and Lexington Catholic on fourth-and-one from the LCA 1 yard line threatening to score and tie the game. However LCA held and started on a 99 yard drive that consumed valuable minutes and ending in a touchdown to give the victorious Eagles a 49-35 lead and a little more breathing room. LCA recorded 26 first downs and 509 yards of total offense. The Eagles were penalized six times for 51 yards and lost a fumble. Lexington Catholic recorded 26 first downs and 533 yards of total offense. The Knights were penalized once for 15 yards and lost two fumbles.

Brady Hensley led LCA’s ground game with 248 yards and five touchdowns on 39 carries. Cutter Boley added 19 yards and two touchdowns on five carries. BJ Evans recorded 16 yards on two carries. Cutter Boley completed 18 of 23 passes for 224 yards. Saxton Howard caught six passes for 77 yards, Nate Barnhardt added six receptions for 47 yards. Parker Chaney recorded four receptions for 57 yards. Kenyatta Hardge returned one punt for 18 yards. Anderson Mitchell returned one kickoff for 25 yards and Saxton Howard returned four kickoffs for 40 yards with a long return of 24 yards. Jackson Dillow led the defense with seven solo tackles. Parker Chaney and Kenyatta Hardge each recorded five solo tackles. Hunter Evans added four solo and two assisted tackle with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 12 yards. Mac Darland and Nate Barnhardt each recovered a fumble.

Jackson Wasik led Lexington Catholic’s ground game with 69 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries. Joaquin Pereira added 25 yards on eight carries. Jackson Wasik completed 23 of 34 passes for 422 yards and five touchdowns. Sam Clements caught five passes for 124 yards and two touchdowns. Jackson Kreutzer added five receptions for 59 yards and a touchdown. Matthew Kern caught four passes for 116 yards. Kaylib Nelson chipped in with four receptions for 63 yards and a touchdown. Grant Gambrell recorded three receptions for 46 yards and a touchdown. Sam Clements returned five kickoffs for 96 yards with a long return of 22 yards. Kaylib Nelson returned one kickoff for 24 yards. Walker Tweardy led the defense with 11 solo tackles. Kaylib Nelson added 10 solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a four yard loss. Jackson Wasik recorded five solo and two assisted tackles. Matthew Kern chipped in with four solo and one assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.

Bell County scored on a long drive late in the game to defeat Perry County Central by the score of 30-26 to improve their record to 4-0. Perry County Central had one last possession but Blake Evans intercepted a pass and Bell County ran out the clock. Bell County recorded 284 yards of total offense while Perry County Central rolled up 299 yards.

Daniel Thomas led Bell County’s ground game with 125 yards and three touchdowns on 23 carries. Blake Burnett carried the ball six times for 94 yards and a touchdown. Blake Burnett completed four of six passes for 45 yards. Daniel Thomas caught one pass for 23 yards. Elijah Hampton added one reception for 12 yards. Hayden Damron led the defense with eight solo and two assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses and two sacks. Blake Evans added nine solo and one assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned eight yards. Hayden Clark recorded six solo and two assisted tackles. Daniel Thomas chipped in with seven solo tackles. Spencer Phipps added four solo and two assisted tackles with one sack.

Seth Jackson led Perry County Central’s ground game with 113 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries. Kizer Slone carried the ball 40 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries.
