“Tall timber in camp”

I observed several young ladies standing 6-0 or taller in Rick Bolus’ Girls Basketball Camp at Georgetown College July 15-16.

6-0 Jr. Faith Eubank Station Camp Gallatin TN – Eubank has excellent skills, versatile scorer, rebounder, and defender.  She challenges passes on defense, dares her opponent to put the ball on the floor, and is very active on both ends of the floor, solid fundamentals.

“Dynamite comes in small packages”

I recently attended the Rick Bolus Girls Basketball Camp at Georgetown and was observing several players 5-5 or less who displayed a lot of game in the land of the giants.  I noticed several but I will mention five in this section.

5-5 Sr. Ivy Turner Danville Danville KY – A coach on the floor, an excellent playmaker with good all around skills. Turner is a difference maker.

5-1 So. Haylee Neeley Walton-Verona Walton KY – This diminutive bundle of energy has a high energy level, good basketball IQ, and good skills.

5-5 Jr. Hannah Bolton Monroe Central Parker City IN – A gunslinger in the best “Clint Eastwood” tradition understands the game and is a deadly shooter.  Bolton has excellent court awareness and makes good decisions.

5-5 Jr. Deshiya Hoosier Beech Hendersonville TN – Excellent PG skills directs the offense.  Hoosier makes everyone around her better.

5-4 Jr. Shiaynn Elkins Russell County Russell Springs KY – Good PG skills and can thread the needle with her passes.
