Dr. Jekyl Mr. Hyde, the difference between day and night, a tale of two halves -- all the cliches would apply tonight as Tates Creek defeated Paul Dunbar 42-28.  Tates Creek played near flawless ball in the first half and took a 42-0 lead into the locker room at halftime.  The second half was another story as Dunbar capitalized on two fumble recoveries and three onside kick recoveries to score 28 unanswered points and make a game out of what appeared to be a rout.

Brandon Shrout led the Tates Creek ground attack with 69 yards and a TD on two carries.  Dee Christopher added 59 yards on four carries.  Christopher completed four of six passes for 33 yards.  LaRobert Bett caught two passes for 24 yards.  Jon. Maeadors led the defense with five solo and four assisted tackles.  Aaron Mullins added six solo and one assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totalling five yards.  Jamison Hardin recorded five solo and three assisted tackles.  Hardin also intercepted a pass.

Brad Harp led Dunbar's ground game with 47 yards on 11 carries.  Trent Martin completed 17 of 44 passes for 240 yards and three touchdowns with two interceptions.  Kendall Davis caught six passes for 99 yards and a TD.  Jordan Gatewood added five receptions for 59 yards and a TD.  Sam Doss led Dunbar's defense with three solo tackles.  Jordan Perkins added two solo and two assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totalling five yards.  Perkins also recovered a fumble.
