Tates Creek is finally getting healthy at the right time as their offense rolled up 388 yards of offense on their way yo a 41-12 victory over Henry Clay. Tates Creek recorded 13 first downs and 388 yards of total offense. The Commodores were penalized seven times for 57 yards and had a pass intercepted. Henry Clay recorded 15 first downs and 212 yards of total offense. The Blue Devils were penalized eight times for 90 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.
BJ Evans led Tates Creek’s ground game with 95 yards and a touchdown on seven carries. Adrian Smith carried the ball four times for 27 yards. Darnell Burnside completed 12 of 18 passes for 258 yards and four touchdowns with one interception. Jt Cooper caught five passes for 55 yards. Triston Taylor added four receptions for 148 yards and three touchdowns. Luke Cooper recorded three catches for 55 yards and a touchdown. Triston Taylor returned two kickoffs for 55 yards with a long return of 46 yards. Dvaughn Flowers led the defense with eight solo and four assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss. Deonte Moses added three solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss. Max Stump recorded one solo and five assisted tackles. Daymond Griffin added two solos that resulted in a total loss of four yards. Miles Hayward recorded two solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a six yard loss. Lazarey Warren recorded two solo tackles and intercepted a pass he returned six yards. Shawn Taylor added four assisted tackles and scored on an 83 yard fumble recovery return.
Safal Gurung led Henry Clay’s ground game with 84 yards on 13 carries. Isaiah King carried the ball 13 times for 75 yards and a touchdown. Pacifique Nduwaye carried the ball once for 10 yards. Liam Marrs completed six of 19 passes for 46 yards with one interception. Chaii Paris caught three passes for 20 yards. Henry Morgan added two receptions for 22 yards. Marcus Owens returned five kickoffs for 157 yards with a long return of 58 yards. Frank Niyonyishu returned one kickoff for seven yards. Patrick Beya led the defense with three solo and three assisted tackles. Zach Hoellein added two solo and one assisted tackles. Charley Pennell recorded one solo and three assisted tackles. Chaii Paris scored on a 10 yard interception return.
