Paul Laurence Dunbar trailed 14-3 at halftime and 14-10 after three quarters but scored 13 unanswered points in the final quarter to earn a 23-14 victory over Henry Clay. Paul Laurence Dunbar recorded 13 first downs and 312 yards of total offense. The Bulldogs were penalized seven times for 53 yards and had a pass intercepted. Henry Clay recorded 12 first downs and 158 yards of total offense. The Blue Devils were penalized six times for 65 yards.

Jayshawn Crosby led Dunbar’s ground game with 132 yards and a touchdown on 29 carries. Dominic Faulkner carried the ball six times for 49 yards. Dominic Faulkner completed three of eight passes for 133 yards and two touchdowns with one interception. Noah Barrett caught two passes for 41 yards and a touchdown. Ryan Barrett caught one pass for 92 yards and a touchdown. Jayshawn Crosby returned three kickoffs for 54 yards with a long return of 23 yards. Luke Ayoob led the defense with five solo and three assisted tackles. Tolley Carter added five solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in an eight yard loss. Ryan Barrett also recorded five solo tackles. Kaleb Monroe added two solo and six assisted tackles. Locke Loftus chipped in with two solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a four yard loss. Grayson Rodgers recorded one solo and two assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 11 yards.

Safal Gurung led Henry Clay’s ground game with 44 yards on 10 carries. Aiden Huston carried the ball eight times for 19 yards and a touchdown. Aiden Huston completed six of 13 passes for 78 yards. Liam Marrs completed three of 11 passes for 17 yards. Henry Morgan caught four passes for 28 yards. Harrison Clifford added two receptions for 39 yards. Chaii Paris recorded two catches for 18 yards. Marcus Owens returned two kickoffs for 96 yards with an 85 yard return for a touchdown. Zach Hoellein returned one kickoff for 14 yards. Ptrick Beya led the defense with four solo and eight assisted tackles. Charley Pennell and KC Shubhrat each recorded three solo and two assisted tackles. AJ Lagunas and Michael Whiting each recorded two solo and three assisted tackles. Pacifique Nduwaye added two solo and two assisted tackles with two solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss.
