Monday February 24th

Madison Central vs. Madison Southern (Girls)

Madison Central coach Scott True started the following lineup: 5-7 Sr. Brooke Campbell, 5-5 Jr. Jordynn Miles, 5-9 Sr. Cameryn Ridderikhoff, 5-7 Sr. Brittany Campbell, and 5-6 Sr. Nataya Strader. Madison Southern coach Kent Miller countered with 5-8 Jr. Emma Kate Lawson, 5-8 Fr. Brians Hensley, 5-10 Jr. Laci Sandlin, 5-9 Fr. Cami Duerson, and 5-5 Jr. Hadley French.

The score was tied 11-11 after the first quarter but Madison Central outscored Madison Southern 21-3 in the second quarter on their way to a 68-46 victory. Madison Central’s pressure defense forced 25 turnovers which they converted to 30 points. There were two ties and six lead changes in the game. Madison Central shot 50% from the field including nine of 21 from the three point line. The Lady Indians connected on 11 of 12 free throws and pulled down 24 rebounds. Madison Southern shot 41.7% from the field including six of 17 from beyond the arc. The Lady Eagles connected on 10 of 13 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 15 Madison Central turnovers.

Nataya Strader led Madison Central with 24 points including two three point baskets, six of six free throws, three rebounds, and four steals. Jordynn Miles added 15 points including four of four free throws, three rebounds, and three steals. Cameryn Ridderikhoff recorded 12 points including two three point baskets. Brittany Campbell chipped in with six points, 12 rebounds, six assists, and two steals. 5-5 Jr. Skylar Collinsworth added six points on two three point baskets. 5-6 Sr. Tiana Long recorded five points, two assists, and three steals. Brooke Campbell three points, seven assists, and two steals.

Hadley French led Madison Southern with 11 points including three three point baskets. Laci Sandlin added nine points and three rebounds. Emma Kate Lawson recorded six points, eight rebounds, and three steals. Cami Duerson chipped in with five points, two assists, and two steals.

Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus started the following lineup: 6-5 Jr. Luke Asher, 6-3 Sr. Cody Morrison, 6-7 Jr. Jake Feldhaus, 5-9 Jr. Cam Steele, and 6-0 Jr. Will Richardson. Madison Southern coach Steve Wright countered with 6-1 Sr. Mason Davis, 5-10 Jr. Zach Adams, 6-3 So. Jordan Dunaway, 5-10 Sr. Micah Whitaker, and 5-10 Fr. Tucker Nobbe. (Star guard 5-8 Sr.Casen Nobbe is out with an injury).

Madison Central outscored Madison Southern 22-2 in the second quarter on their way to an 80-49 victory. Madison Central shot 56.9% from the field including 10 of 22 from the three point line. The Indians connected on 12 of 16 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 20 Madison Southern turnovers. Madison Southern shot 38.6% from the field including seven of 19 from beyond the arc. The Eagles connected on eight of 12 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 15 Madison Central turnovers.

Jake Feldhaus led Madison Central with 22 points including seven of 10 free throws, 10 rebounds, and two blocked shots. Will Richardson added 20 points including six three point baskets, and two rebounds. Cody Morrison recorded 11 points and four rebounds. Luke Asher also scored 11 points and four rebounds. 5-10 So. Ricky Goatley chipped in with four points, three rebounds, nine assists, and three steals. 6-4 Jr.Joe Powers added nine points and four rebounds. Cam Steele dished out seven assists.

Micah Whitaker led Madison Southern with 16 points including four three point baskets, two rebounds, and four steals. Tucker Nobbe added 12 points including two three point baskets, three rebounds, and two steals. Jordan Dunaway recorded 10 points including four of six free throws, and four rebounds.

Model vs. Berea (Girls)

Model coach Scotty Sutton started the following lineup: 5-7 Sr. Rylli Hunt, 5-7 Jr. Emily Little, 5-8 Jr. Piper Moore, 5-1 Jr. Claire Ballou, and Jr. Tiaree Ortiz. Berea coach Dammian Stepp countered with 5-9 Fr. Kelsey Slone, 5-7 Jr. Cora Reed, 5-9 Jr. Kadence Stepp, 5-3 Fr, Absady Baker, and 5-5 Jr. Avery Plessinger.

The Berea inside-outside combination of Kadence Stepp and Avery Plessingter was to much for Model to overcome as they combined for 33 points as the Lady Pirates defeated Model by the score of 41-31. There were four ties and two lead changes in this game. Berea shot 42.5% from the field including two of four from the three point line. The Lady Pirates connected on five of 19 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 17 Model turnovers. Model shot 28.1% from the field including four of six from beyond the arc. The Lady Patriots connected on nine of 11 free throws, pulled down 19 rebounds, and scored nine points off 14 Berea turnovers.

Avery Plessinger led Berea with 18 points including two three point baskets, four of six free throws, and four steals. Kadence Stepp added 15 points, 16 rebounds, and two assists.

Rylli Hunt led Model with 14 points including two three point baskets, four of four free throws, eight rebounds, and two steals. Emma Little added six points and two assists. Kendall Maggard recorded five points. Tiaree Ortiz added four points and six rebounds..

Model vs. Berea (Boys)

Model coach Christopher Evans started the following lineup: 6-6 Jr. Riley Mollette, 6-4 Sr. Harrison Parkhurst, 6-6 Sr. Marcello Zorzi, 6-1 Sr. Travis Kidd, and 6-2 Jr. Ty Balser. Berea coach Eric Fields countered with 6-1 Jr. Jake Mills, 6-0 Sr. Ethan Slone, 6-3 Sr. Tommie Banderman, 5-4 Jr. Liam Brewer, and 5-8 Jr. Finley Blevins.

Berea trailed 26-23 at halftime but outscored the Patriots 19-7 in the third quarter on their way to a 60-42 victory. There were five ties and three lead changes in this game. Model was hampered tonight as Harrison Parkhurst was injured minutes into the game and could only play limited minutes the rest of the night. Berea shot 46.2% from the field including six of 14 from the three point line. The Pirates connected on six of 14 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 15 Model turnovers. Model shot 38.1% from the field including six of 20 from beyond the arc. The Patriots connected on four of seven free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 11 Berea turnovers.

Tommie Banderman led Berea with 14 points and 13 rebounds. Finley Blevins added 14 points including two three point baskets, two rebounds, and four assists. Ethan Slone recorded 12 points, 11 rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Liam Brewer chipped in with nine points including two three point baskets, and three assists.

Ty Balser led Model with 10 points including two three point baskets and four rebounds. Travis Kidd added nine points, two rebounds, four assists, and four steals. Riley Mollette recorded eight points, four rebounds, and two blocked shots. 5-6 Fr. Landon Mayo chipped in with six points on two three point baskets.

Friday February 28th

Berea vs. Madison Central (Girls) (Championship)

Berea coach Dammian Stepp started the following lineup: 5-9 Fr. Kelsey Slone, 5-7 Jr. Cora Reed, 5-9 Jr. Kadence Stepp, 5-3 Fr, Absady Baker, and 5-5 Jr. Avery Plessinger. Madison Central coach Scott True countered with 5-7 Sr. Brooke Campbell, 5-6 Sr. Tiana Long, 5-9 Sr. Cameryn Ridderikhoff, 5-7 Sr. Brittany Campbell, and 5-6 Sr. Nataya Strader.

Madison Central’s press took its toll on a young Berea squad as the Lady Indians raced out to a 25-6 first quarter lead on their way to a 64-12 victory. Madison Central forced 24 turnovers and recorded 20 steals that they converted to 31 points. Madison Central shot 63.6% from the field including 13 of 18 from the three point line. The Lady Indians connected on nine of 15 free throws and pulled down 15 rebounds. Berea shot 23.5% from the field including zero of four from beyond the arc. The Lady Pirates connected on four of eight free throws, pulled down 15 rebounds, and forced five Madison Central turnovers.


Brittany Campbell led Madison Central with 23 points including six three point baskets, three rebounds, three assists, and four steals. Campbell was eight of nine from the field including six of seven from beyond the arc. Nataya Strader added 11 points, teo rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Cameryn Ridderikhoff recorded nine points including two three point baskets, six rebounds, four assists, and five steals. 5-5 Jr. Skylar Collinsworth added nine points on three of four from the three point line.


Kelsey Stone led Berea with six points. Cora Reed added two points, three rebounds, and two assists. Kadence Stepp pulled down four rebounds.

Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus started the following lineup: 6-5 Jr. Luke Asher, 6-3 Sr. Cody Morrison, 6-7 Jr. Jake Feldhaus, 5-9 Jr. Cam Steele, and 6-0 Jr. Will Richardson.

Madison Central led 21-12 after the first quarter on their way to a 77-46 victory over Berea to earn the 44th District Championship. Madison Central shot 48.1% from the field including six of 19 from the three point line. The Indians connected on 19 of 25 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 25 points off 24 Berea turnovers. Berea shot 38.1% from the field including four of 17 from beyond the arc. The Pirates connected on 10 of 21 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored nine points off 14 Madison Central turnovers.

Jake Feldhaus led Madison Central with 16 points including six of eight free throws, 13 rebounds, and two blocked shots. Will Richardson added 15 points including two three point baskets, nine of 10 free throws, two rebounds, and two assists. 6-4 Jr. Christian Lawson recorded 13 points, five rebounds, and two assists. Cody Morrison chipped in with 10 points including two three point baskets, two assists, and five steals. Luke Asher recorded nine points, six rebounds, two blocked shots, and two steals. 5-10 So. Ricky Goatley added eight points and three assists.

Tommie Banderman led Berea with 12 points and six rebounds. Liam Brewer added 12 points on four three point baskets, and two rebounds. Jake Mills recorded six points and seven rebounds. Finley Blevins chipped in with six points, two rebounds, and three assists. Ethan Slone added five points, two assists, and two steals.
