Lexington Catholic coach Michael Menifee started the following lineup: 5-9 Jr. Payton Avilez, 5-8 Sr. Alivia Morris, 5-10 Jr. Adalee Long, 5-5 7th Grade Harper Reynolds, and 5-7 Jr. Mary Walker West. Paul Laurence Dunbar pulled away in the final quarter to defeat Lexington Catholic by the score of 53-39. Ther were seven lead changes and nine ties in this game. Paul Laurence Dunbar shot 35.5% from the field including six of 23 from the three point line. The Lady Bulldogs connected on three of eight free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 28 points off 34 Lexington Catholic turnovers. The Lady Eagles connected on 13 of 23 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 13 Tates Creek turnovers. Tates Creek shot 37.8% from the field including six of 16 from beyond the arc. The Lady Commodores connected on 13 of 18 free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored nine points off 17 Lexington Christian Academy turnovers.
Chapel Brown led Lexington Christian Academy with 17 points including three three point baskets, four of eight free throws, eight rebounds, and two assists. 5-7 Jr. Piper Graham added 17 points, six rebounds, three blocked shots, and five steals. Claire Roberts recorded 13 points including two three point baskets, three of six free throws, and three rebounds. Saxton Howard led Lexington Christian Academy with 24 points including two three point baskets, four of eight free throws, three rebounds, and five assists. Andrew Maggard added 15 points and six rebounds. Colt Cummins recorded two points, 13 rebounds, and two blocked shots.
Tyler Hunt led Lafayette with 17 points including eight of 10 free throws, and 11 rebounds. Drew Biddle added 11 points including two three point baskets, five rebounds, and five assists.
