They connected on 16 of 23 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 17 Danville Christian Academy.


Grace Mbugua led Danville Christian with 20 points, 13 rebounds, three assists, and eight blocked shots. Amauri Blackford added 16 points, eight rebounds, and two assists. Alaya Quisenberry recorded 14 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists. Paisley Metz chipped in with 13 points including three three point baskets and three rebounds. ( 6-3 Sr. Leah Macy is out with an injury). Central coach Deshawn Pendleton countered with 6-0 Jr. Ciara Rudolph, 5-7 Sr. Christen Stone, 6-0 So. Tamari Oliver, 5-4 Sr. Kinnidi Russell, and 5-8 Fr. Ziya Velez-Smith.

Central outscored Bethlehem 22-12 in the third quarter on their way to a 53-46 victory. There were three lead changes and five ties in this game. Central shot 43.4% from the field including two of 15 from the three point line. The Lady Jackets connected on five of 10 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored nine points off 11 Bethlehem turnovers. Bethlehem shot 30.2% from the field including three of 12 from beyond the arc. The Banshees connected on 37 rebounds, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 10 Central turnovers.

Lafayette Central Catholic coach Craig DeVault started the following lineup: 5-9 Sr. Carley Barrett, 5-8 Jr. Casey Schuessler, 5-10 Fr. Brooke Thompson, 5-4 Sr. Grace Bordenet, and 5-7 Sr. Maddy Bruce. The Pirates connected on four of 10 free throws, pulled down 51 rebounds, and scored four points off seven Norwell turnovers.

The Wildcats connected on nine of 17 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 17 Warsaw Community turnovers. Warsaw Community shot 37.5% from the field including nine of 22 from beyond the arc. The Tigers connected on 14 of 18 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 13 Warsaw Community turnovers.

Ke’Adriah Butler led Lawrence North with 20 points including two three point baskets, four of four free throws, eight rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Jamaya Thomas added 14 points and two rebounds. Kalea Bentley recorded 12 points including four of five free throws and two assists. Naja Winston chipped in with nine points, 14 rebounds, and five steals. Kya Hurt added five points and seven assists.

Brooke Winchester led Warsaw Community with 20 points including two three point baskets, six of seven free throws, 13 rebounds, two steals, and two blocked shots. Joslyn Bricker added 13 points including seven of nine free throws, three rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Lexington Catholic coach Michael Menifee started the following lineup: 5-9 Jr. Payton Avilez, 5-8 Sr. Alivia Morris, 5-10 Jr. Adalee Long, 5-5 7th Grade Harper Reynolds, and 5-7 Jr. Mary Walker West. Paul Laurence Dunbar’s coach Erik Daniels countered with 5-9 8th Grade Alese Goree, 5-4 Fr.Sydney Yaden, 6-0 Jr. Ava Rankin, 5-4 So. Layla Flynn, and 5-4 7th Grade Kyah Curtsinger.

Paul Laurence Dunbar pulled away in the final quarter to defeat Lexington Catholic by the score of 53-39. Ther were seven lead changes and nine ties in this game. Paul Laurence Dunbar shot 35.5% from the field including six of 23 from the three point line. The Lady Bulldogs connected on three of eight free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 28 points off 34 Lexington Catholic turnovers. Lexington Catholic shot 39.4% from the field including zero of two from beyond the arc. The Lady Knights connected on 13 of 20 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 16 Paul Laurence Dunbar turnovers.

Jacob Holland chipped in with six points, seven rebounds, and three assists.

Lexington Christian Academy trailed 38-34 after three quarters but the Lady Eagles outscored Tates Creek 26-15 in the final quarter to earn a 60-53 victory. There were five lead changes and two ties in thios game. Lexington Christian Academy shot 44.4% from the field including seven of 20 from the three point line. The Lady Eagles connected on 13 of 23 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 13 Tates Creek turnovers. Tates Creek shot 37.8% from the field including six of 16 from beyond the arc. The Lady Commodores connected on 13 of 18 free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored nine points off 17 Lexington Christian Academy turnovers.

Chapel Brown led Lexington Christian Academy with 17 points including three three point baskets, four of eight free throws, eight rebounds, and two assists. 5-7 Jr. Piper Graham added 17 points, six rebounds, three blocked shots, and five steals. Claire Roberts recorded 13 points including two three point baskets, three of six free throws, and three rebounds. Jentry Bertram chipped in with five points, nine rebounds, five assists, and two steals.

Miracle Morbley led Tates Creek with 18 points including three three point baskets, three of four free throws, nine rebounds, three assists, two blocked shots, and four steals. Lafayette shot 34% from the field including four of 16 from beyond the arc. The Generals connected on 12 of 17 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored seven points off eight LCA turnovers.

Saxton Howard led Lexington Christian Academy with 24 points including two three point baskets, four of eight free throws, three rebounds, and five assists. Andrew Maggard added 15 points and six rebounds. Colt Cummins recorded two points, 13 rebounds, and two blocked shots.

Tyler Hunt led Lafayette with 17 points including eight of 10 free throws, and 11 rebounds. Drew Biddle added 11 points including two three point baskets, five rebounds, and five assists. KJ Jones recorded 11 points, five rebounds, and two steals. Eli Thomas chipped in with nine points including two of two free throws, three rebounds, and three assists. 6-1 So. Belle Combs led Lafayette with 17 points, nine rebounds, and five blocked shots. Abbey Popham added 10 points including three of four free throws, two assists, and three steals. Addison Combs recorded nine points, two blocked shots, and four steals. Tess Nelson chipped in with six points and four rebounds. Frederick Douglass’ quickness and defensive intensity was to much for Sayre tonight as they forced 25 turnovers they converted ot 28 points in a 64-26 victory over the Lady Spartans. They also held an 18-0 advantage on second effort points. Frederick Douglass shot 41.7% from the field including five of 17 from the three point line. The Lady Broncos connected on nine of 16 free throws, and pulled down 47 rebounds, Sayre shot 27% from the field including two of 15 from beyond the arc. The Lady Spartans connected on four of six free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 15 Frederick Douglass turnovers.

Jaelee Knowles led Frederick Douglass with 17 points, six rebounds, and two blocked shots. Knowles was eight of nine from the field and one of two from the charity stripe. Tamia Waide added 14 points including two three point baskets, three rebounds, and threee assists. Reagan Gregonis recorded 13 points including three three point baskets, five rebounds, four assists, and two steals. 5-6 So. Nia Carr chipped in with seven points including five of six free throws and two assists. 5-10 Jr. Miami King added six points, seven rebounds, and two steals. Frederick Douglass raced out to a 23-8 first quarter lead on their way to a 77-56 victory over Sayre, Frederick Douglass shot 49.2% from the field including seven of 18 from the three point line. The Broncos connected on 12 of 19 free throws, pulled down 44 rebounds, and scored seven points off 10 Sayre turnovers. Sayre shot 31% from the field including four of 15 from beyond the arc. The Spartans connected on 16 of 26 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 11 Frederick Douglass turnovers.

Logan Busson led Frederick Douglass with 15 points and six rebounds. Busson was five of six from the field and five of five from the free throw line. DeMarcus Surratt added 12 points, four rebounds, six assists, and three steals. 5-10 So. Dakari Talbert recorded 11 points including three three point baskets. The Berea inside-outside combination of Kadence Stepp and Avery Plessingter was to much for Model to overcome as they combined for 33 points as the Lady Pirates defeated Model by the score of 41-31. There were four ties and two lead changes in this game. Berea shot 42.5% from the field including two of four from the three point line. The Lady Pirates connected on five of 19 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 17 Model turnovers. Model shot 28.1% from the field including four of six from beyond the arc. The Lady Patriots connected on nine of 11 free throws, pulled down 19 rebounds, and scored nine points off 14 Berea turnovers.

Avery Plessinger led Berea with 18 points including two three point baskets, four of six free throws, and four steals. Kadence Stepp added 15 points, 16 rebounds, and two assists.

Model was hampered tonight as Harrison Parkhurst was injured minutes into the game and could only play limited minutes the rest of the night. Berea shot 46.2% from the field including six of 14 from the three point line. The Pirates connected on six of 14 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 15 Model turnovers. Model shot 38.1% from the field including six of 20 from beyond the arc. The Patriots connected on four of seven free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 11 Berea turnovers.

Tommie Banderman led Berea with 14 points and 13 rebounds. Finley Blevins added 14 points including two three point baskets, two rebounds, and four assists. Madison Central forced 24 turnovers and recorded 20 steals that they converted to 31 points. Madison Central shot 63.6% from the field including 13 of 18 from the three point line. The Lady Indians connected on nine of 15 free throws and pulled down 15 rebounds. Berea shot 23.5% from the field including zero of four from beyond the arc. The Lady Pirates connected on four of eight free throws, pulled down 15 rebounds, and forced five Madison Central turnovers.

Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus started the following lineup: 6-5 Jr. Luke Asher, 6-3 Sr. Cody Morrison, 6-7 Jr. Jake Feldhaus, 5-9 Jr. Cam Steele, and 6-0 Jr. Will Richardson.

Madison Central led 21-12 after the first quarter on their way to a 77-46 victory over Berea to earn the 44th District Championship. Madison Central shot 48.1% from the field including six of 19 from the three point line. The Indians connected on 19 of 25 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 25 points off 24 Berea turnovers. Berea shot 38.1% from the field including four of 17 from beyond the arc. The Pirates connected on 10 of 21 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored nine points off 14 Madison Central turnovers.

Jake Feldhaus led Madison Central with 16 points including six of eight free throws, 13 rebounds, and two blocked shots. Will Richardson added 15 points including two three point baskets, nine of 10 free throws, two rebounds, and two assists. 6-4 Jr. Christian Lawson recorded 13 points, five rebounds, and two assists. Cody Morrison chipped in with 10 points including two three point baskets, two assists, and five steals. Luke Asher recorded nine points, six rebounds, two blocked shots, and two steals. 5-10 So. Ricky Goatley added eight points and three assists.

Tommie Banderman led Berea with 12 points and six rebounds. Liam Brewer added 12 points on four three point baskets, and two rebounds. Jake Mills recorded six points and seven rebounds. Finley Blevins chipped in with six points, two rebounds, and three assists. Ethan Slone added five points, two assists, and two steals.

Henry Clay coach Daniel Brown started the following lineup: 6-4 Jr. Jackson Stephan, 6-3 Sr. Kade Hilander, 6-5 Sr. Hassan Bush, 6-0 Sr. Kayson Brown, and 6-2 Sr. AJ Dixon. Lafayette coach Vince Sanford countered with 6-1 Sr. Drew Biddle, 6-1 So. Cooper Kirk, 6-7 Jr. Tyler Hunt, 5-7 Jr. KJ Jones, and 6-0 Sr. Eli Thomas.

Henry Clay outscored Lafayette 28-7 in the second quarter on their way to a 68-55 victory. Henry Clay shot 47.4% from the field including six of 25 from the three point line. The Blue Devils connected on eight of 12 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 16 Lafayette turnovers. Lafayette shot 41.7% from the field including six of 17 from beyond the arc. The Generals connected on nine of 14 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored eight points off nine Henry Clay turnovers.

AJ Dixon led Henry Clay with 24 points, three rebounds, and three steals. Jackson Stephan added 19 points including three three point baskets, 13 rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Hassan Bush recorded 12 points, eight rebounds, and two blocked shots. Kayson Brown chipped in with eight points including two three point baskets, two rebounds, four assists, and three steals.

Drew Biddle led Lafayette with 12 points including two three point baskets, and eight rebounds. KJ Jones added 12 points including four of seven free throws, three rebounds, and two steals. Tyler Hunt recorded 11 points including three of four free throws, six rebounds, and two steals. Cooper Kirk chipped in with eight points including two three point baskets.

Lexington Christian Academy coach Tim Bradshaw countered with 5-6 Jr. Jentry Bertram, 5-6 Sr. Ella Gabbert, 5-9 Sr. Sophia Pridemore, 5-6 Sr. Chapel Brown, and 5-7 Sr. Claire Roberts.

Lexington Christian Academy defeated Pineville by the score of 56-36. Lexington Christian Academy shot 40.4% from the field including nine of 23 from the three point line. The Lady Eagles connected on nine of 12 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 13 Pineville turnovers. Pineville shot 24.4% from the field including one of nine from beyond the arc. The Lady Lions connected on 15 of 21 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored nine points off 14 LCA turnovers.

Claire Roberts led LCA with 16 points including two three point baskets, three rebounds, and two assists. Chapel Brown added 15 points including three three point baskets, nine rebounds, and three steals. 5-6 Jr. Piper Graham recorded 11 points including sox of eight free throws, four rebounds, three assists, and three steals. Ella Gabbert chipped in with eight points including two three point baskets. Sophia Pridemore pulled down 10 rebounds. Jentry Bertram added three points, seven rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

Rachel Howard led Pineville with 17 points including seven of nine free throws, five rebounds, and two steals. 5-0 8th Grade Hannah Abner added five points and five rebounds. Ava Arnett recorded four points, four rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Madison Johnson chipped in with four points, four rebounds, and two assists. Kamryn Biliter added four points, two rebounds, and two assists.
