West Jessamine coach Matt Hikens started the following lineup: 5-10 So. Claire Marshall, 5-9 Sr. Emma Ferraro, 5-11 Jr. Kimberly Johnson, 5-4 Fr. Novalee Smith, and 5-4 Jr. Katie Mastin. Lafayette coach Allison Tate Denton countered with 5-10 Sr. Tess Nelson, 5-8 So. Addison Combs, 5-10 Sr. Belle Combs, 5-6 Jr. Anna Clay Denton, and 5-5 Sr. Abbey Popham.

Lafayette trailed 26-22 at halftime but they outscored West Jessamine 13-5 in the third quarter on their way to a 52-44 victory. Lafayette shot 40.8% from the field including three of 15 from the three point line. The Lady Generals connected on nine of 16 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 10 points off nine West Jessamine turnovers. West Jessamine shot 30.8% from the field including five of 16 from beyond the arc. The Lady Colts connected on seven of 12 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored six points off six Lafayette turnovers.

Tess Nelsin led a balanced Lafayette scoring attack with 13 points, eight rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Belle Combs added 12 points, eight rebounds, and three blocked shots. Addison Combs recorded eight points, eight rebounds, two assists, and three blocked shots. Anna Clay Denton chipped in with eight points, six rebounds, nine assists, and two steals. Abbey Popham recorded eight points and two steals.

Claire Marshall led West Jessamine with 18 points, 19 rebounds, and three assists. Katie Mastin added 14 points including four three point baskets, and two assists. Kimberly Johnson recorded five points, eight rebounds, and two assists.
