Henry Clay coach Daniel Brown countered with 6-4 Jr. Jackson Stephan, 6-3 Sr. Kade Hilander, 6-5 Sr. Hassan Bush, 6-0 Sr. Kayson Brown, and 6-2 Sr. AJ Dixon.

Henry Clay defeated Oldham County by the score of 85-75. The score was tied four times and there were seven lead changes in the game. Henry Clay shot 51.7% from the field including 13 of 26 from the three point line. Drew Biddle led Lafayette with 20 points including three three point baskets, three rebounds, two assists, and two blocked shots. KJ Jones added 17 points including nine of 10 free throws, five rebounds, and three assists. Tyler Hunt recorded 16 points, eight rebounds, and three blocked shots. Frederick Douglass trailed 35-27 at halftime but rallied after the intermission to earn a 70-58 victory over Harlan County. There were four lead changes and three ties in this game. George Rogers Clark pulled away in the second half to defeat Lexington Catholic by the score of 76-59. There were three lead changes and five ties in this game. The Lady Indians connected on 11 of 14 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 29 points off 18 Ryle turnovers. Ryle shot 51.4% from the field including four of 10 from beyond the arc. Cameryn Ridderikhoff led Madison Central with 25 points including two three point baskets, five rebounds, and five steals. North Laurel coach Eddie Mahan countered with 5-11 Sr. Brooke Nichelson, 5-6 Sr. Bella Sizemore, 6-2 So. Mariella Claybrook, 5-4 Fr. Emma Carl, and 5-6 Jr. Haley Combs.

North Laurel led 55-33 after three quarters but Madison Central’s pressure defense created some turnovers in the final quarter allowing the Lady Indians to cut the final margin down to a 65-53 victroy for North Laurel. Madison Central did not have an answer for North Laurel’s potent duo of Brooke Nichelson and Mariella Claybrook who torched the Lady Indians for a total of 49 points and 19 rebounds in their high-low offense. North Laurel shot 52.2% from the field including two of 15 from the three point line. The Lady Jaguars connected on 15 of 18 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 17 Madison Central turnovers. Madison Central shot 43.9% from the field including four of 10 from beyond the arc. The Lady Indians connected on 13 of 17 free throws, pulled down 19 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 20 North Laurel turnovers.

Brooke Nichelson led North Laurel with 37 points including eight of 11 free throws, seven rebounds, two assists, three blocked shots, and four steals. Mariella Claybrook added 12 points, 12 rebounds, five assists, four blocked shots, and four steals. Bella Sizemore recorded seven points, two rebounds, and five assists. Haley Combs chipped in with five points, four rebounds, two assists, and three steals.

Nataya Strader led Madison Central with 16 points including two three point baskets, six of 10 free throws, five rebounds, and two assists. Brittany Campbell added 14 points, four rebounds, four assists, and six steals. Cameryn Ridderikhoff recorded 13 points, two rebounds, and three steals. Jordynn Miles chipped in with eight points, three rebounds, and two assists.

Lafayette coach Allison Tate Denton started the following lineup: 5-10 Sr. Tess Nelson, 5-8 So. Addison Combs, 5-10 Sr. Belle Combs, 5-5 Jr. Anna Clay Denton, and 5-55 Sr. Abbey Popham. Great Crossing coach Matt Walls countered with 5-8 Fr. Samantha Brown, 5-5 Fr. Kendall Kearney, 5-9 Jr. Claire Tierney, 5-5 Sr. Jenelle Henderson, and 5-6 Sr.Jaelle Henderson.

Lafayette won a close 65-62 decision over Great Crossing on the road. There were 10 lead changes and two ties in this game. Lafayette shot 44.7% from the field including 11 of 25 from the three point line. The Lady Generals connected on 12 of 20 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 13 Great Crossing turnovers. Great Crossing shot 38.3% from the field including nine of 26 from beyond the arc. The Lady Warhawks connected on seven of 10 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 16 Lafayette turnovers.

Anna Clay Denton led Lafayette with 19 points including five three point baskets, four of eight free throws, six rebounds, five assists, and three steals. Belle Combs added 17 points including five of seven free throws, seven rebounds, and four assists. Abbey Popham recorded nine points including two three point baskets, and two steals. 5-3 Sr. Kierstyn Kelley chipped in with eight points including two three point baskets. Addison Combs added six points, six rebounds, two assists, and two blocked shots.

Samantha Brown led Great Crossing with 20 points including five three point baskets. Jenelle Henderson added 16 points and eight rebounds. Kendall Kearney recorded 10 points including two three point baskets, eight rebounds, and five assists. 5-3 So. Emery Corrigan chipped in with six points including four of four free throws, and two rebounds. Claire Tierney recorded five points, nine rebounds, and three steals.

Covington Catholic coach Jake Thelen countered with 6-1 Sr. Nolan Ruthsatz, 6-0 So. Teegan Stava, 6-2 Sr. Tate Kruer, 5-11 Jr. Cash Harney, and 6-0 Jr. Athens McGillis.

Great Crossing defeated Covington Catholic by the score of 77-68. Great Crossing shot 56.1% from the field including five of 12 from the three point line. The Warhawks connected on eight of 14 free throws, pulled down 43 rebounds, and scored five points off seven Covington Catholic turnovers. Covington Catholic shot 33.8% from the field including nine of 29 from beyond the arc. The Colonels connected on 15 of 17 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 25 points off 14 Great Crossing turnovers.

Malachi Moreno led Great Crossing with 28 points, 18 rebounds, four assists, and five blocked shots. Vince Dawson III added 24 points including five three point baskets, three rebounds, six assists, and two blocked shots. LJ Holman recorded 11 points, six rebounds, and four steals. 6-0 Jr. Travanti Cooper chipped in with nine points, three rebounds, and two assists.

Cash Harney led Covington Catholic with 31 points including four three point baskets, five of five free throws, three rebounds, two assists, and five steals. Athens McGillis added 21 points including 10 of 12 free throws, three rebounds, and four assists. Nolan Ruthsatz recorded 11 points including three three point baskets and eight rebounds.
