Madison Central outscored Lexington Christian Academy 14-5 in the third quarter on their way to a 58-54 victory. There were eight lead changes and five ties in this game. Covington Catholic defeated Covington Holy Cross by the score of 78-55. Covington Catholic shot 56.6% from the field including eight of 17 from the three point line. The Colonels connected on 10 of 12 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 25 points off 16 Covington Holy Cross turnovers. Covington Holy Cross shot 42% from the field including eight of 22 from beyond the arc. The Valkyries connected on eight of 12 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 28 points off 18 Dixie Heights turnovers. Dixie Heights shot 30% from the field including three of 19 from beyond the arc. Ben Hershey hit a three point basket deep in the corner in the closing seconds to give West Jessamine a 41-40 come-from-behind victory over Lexington Christian Academy. West Jessamine trailed 37-28 after three quarters but outscored LCA 13-3 in the final quarter. There were three ties and three lead changes in this game. West Jessamine shot 32% from the field including four of 17 from the three point line. The Colts connected on five of nine free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 21 LCA turnovers. LCA shot 31.1% from the field including five of 21 from beyond the arc.
