Madison Central coach Brad Lovely started the following lineup: 5-10 So. Bailey Hensley, 5-10 Sr. Raelynn Miller, 5-11 Sr. Gretchen Hammitt, 5-5 Sr. Brianna Bierbaum, and 5-4 So. Eve Carter. Lincoln County coach Brandon Fisher countered with 5-11 So. Chloe Ralston, 5-5 Fr. Makayla Greer, 6-0 So. Emily Estes, 5-4 Sr. Katie Carmicle, and 5-5 8th Grade Alexia Baldock.
Madison Central led 22-19 after three quarters but Lincoln County outscored Madison Central 20-9 in the final quarter (including 12 of 15 free throws) to earn a 39-31 victory. Lincoln County shot 30.6% from the field including 0 for 11 from the three point line. The Lady Patriots connected on 17 of 23 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and committed 11 turnovers. Madison Central shot 27% from the field including two of nine from beyond the arc. The Indians connected on nine of 17 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and committed 19 turnovers.
Emily Estes led Lincoln County with 11 points, three rebounds, and two steals. Chloe Ralston added eight points and three rebounds. Katie Carmicle recorded seven points including five of six free throws, six rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Alexia Baldock chipped in with six points including six of eight free throws, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
Bailey Hensley led Madison Central with 11 points including seven of 10 free throws, and 13 rebounds. 5-4 8th Grade Brittany Campbell added six points on two three point baskets and four rebounds. Eve Carter recorded four points, six rebounds, and four assists.
