Mercer County coach Hayley Spivey started the following lineup: 5-9 So. Timberlynn Yeast, 5-6 So. Anna Kate Drakeford, 5-11 So. Lindsay Jessie, 5-6 Sr. Stevie Shepherd, and 5-7 Sr. Ryann Tharp.  Madison Central coach Brad Lovely countered with 5-10 Fr. Bailey Hensley, 5-10 Sr. Raelynn Miller, 5-11 Sr. Gretchen Hammitt, 5-4 So. Eve Carter, and 5-5 Sr. Brianna Bierbaum.

Mercer County led 44-42 early in the final quarter but went on a 9-0 run to push the advantage to 55-42 on their way to a 59-49 victory over Mercer County.  The score was tied five times and there were six lead changes in the game.  Mercer County shot 41.9% from the field including three of 18 from the three point line.  The Titans connected on 20 of 39 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 19 Madison Central turnovers.  Madison Central shot 44.4% from the field including two of six from beyond the arc.  The Indians connected on seven of 18 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored nine points off 16 Mercer County turnovers.

Timberlynn Yeast led Mercer County with 20 points including 10 of 18 free throws, 13 rebounds, seven assists, one blocked shot, and two steals.  Lindsay Jessie added 12 points, eight rebounds, two blocked shots, and three steals.  Stevie Shepherd recorded 12 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and four assists.  Anna Kate Drakeford chipped in with eight points including four of six free throws, four rebounds, and three steals.  Ryann Tharp recorded seven points and two rebounds.

Eve Carter led Madison Central with 16 points, six rebounds, and four steals.  Bailey Hensley added 15 points and seven rebounds.
