UT Martin coach Kevin McMillan started the following lineup: 6-2 Sr. Chelsey Perry, 5-11 So. Dasia Young, 6-2 Sr. Maddie Waldrop, 5-10 So.Seygan Robbins, and 5-10 Jr. Paige Pipkin.  Eastern Kentucky University coach Samantha Williams countered with 6-2 Sr. Jayla Johnson, 5-11 Sr. Bria Bass, 6-1 So. Anysa Jordan,5-9 Fr. Alice Recanati, and 5-10 Fr. Kendall Wingler.

 

Eastern Kentucky University led 25-23 at halftime but UT Martin outscored the Colonels 42-14 in the second half to earn a 65-39 victory.  Eastern Kentucky only managed 14 in the second half on 23.1% from the field.  There were three ties and two lead changes in this game.  UT Martin shot 39.3% from the field including 10 of 26 from the three point line.  The Skyhawks connected on seven of 10 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 23 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky shot 26.8% from the field including one of 19 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on eight of 10 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 15 UT Martin turnovers.

 

Chelsey Perry led UT Martin with 22 points including two three point baskets, eight rebounds, four assists, two blocks, and two steals.  Maddie Waldrop added nine points, six rebounds, and five assists.  5-7 Jr. Kyannah Grant recorded nine points on three three point baskets, four rebounds, and two assists.  Dasia Young chipped in with eight points, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  Seygan Robbins recorded six points including two three point baskets, three rebounds, and five assists.

 

Jayla Johnson led Eastern Kentucky University with 11 points and three rebounds.  Kendall Wingler added seven points and five rebounds.  Bria Bass recorded six points, eight rebounds, and two assists.  Anaysa Jordan chipped in with four points and seven rebounds.
