Tennessee Tech coach Kim Rosamond started the following lineup: 6-1 Jr. Anna Jones, 5-8 So. Jada Guinn, 6-3 Sr. Mackenzie Coleman, 5-7 Sr. Jordan Brock, and 5-7 Sr. Kesha Brady. Easter Kentucky University coach Samantha Williams countered with 5-11 Sr. Bria Bass, 5-10 Jr. Kynnedy Azubike, 6-1 So.Anysa Jordan, 5-9 Fr. Alice Recanati, and 5-10 Fr. Kendall Wingler.
Eastern Kentucky University earned a big home victory tonight with a 73-65 victory over Tennessee Tech. There were two ties and three lead changes in this game. Eastern Kentucky shot 44.1% from the field including seven of 19 from the three point line. The Colonels connected on 14 of 15 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored nine points off 14 Tennessee Tech turnovers. Tennessee Tech shot 43.3% from the field including six of 24 from beyond the arc. The Golden Eagles connected on one of two free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 13 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.
Kendall Wingler led Eastern Kentucky with 22 points including four three point baskets, four of four free throws, and seven rebounds. Wingler scored 17 of her 22 points in the first half. Alice Recanati added 19 points including three three point baskets, five rebounds, and five assists. Bria Bass recorded 11 points including five of six free throws and three steals. 6-2 Sr. Jayla Johnson chipped in with eight points and six rebounds. 5-11 Fr. Corriana Evans added seven points and four rebounds. Anysa Jordan recorded four points and six rebounds.
Mackenzie Coleman led Tennessee Tech with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Anna Jones added 12 points including two three point baskets, 10 rebounds, and two steals. Jada Guinn recorded 10 points, five rebounds, and four assists. 5-9 So. Maaliya Owens chipped in with 10 points including two three point baskets. Jordan Brock added nine points, two rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Kesha Brady added nine points, three rebounds, and four assists.
