Scott County coach Tim Glenn started the following lineup: 6-2 Jr. Jeremy Hamilton, 6-2 Jr. Isaiah Haynes, 6-4 Sr. Elias Richardson, 5-8 Sr. Chase Grigsby, and 6-1 Jr.Micah Glenn. Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus Jr. countered with 6-4 Jr. Will Hardin, 6-4 So. Jaylen Davis, 6-6 So. Trey Skaggs, 6-2 Sr. Braeden Ray, and 6-4 Sr. Kole Browne.
6-1 Fr.Kenyatta Hardge hit a layup at the buzzer to give Madison Central an 85-83 victory over Scott County. Madison Central led 50-37 early in the third quarter but had to survive a late Scott County rally to earn the victory. Madison Central shot 54% from the field including eight of 16 from the three point line. The Indians connected on 23 of 29 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored eight points off eight Scott County turnovers. Scott County shot 52.8% from the field including 10 of 18 from beyond the arc. The Cardinals connected on 17 of 31 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 14 Madison Central turnovers.
Kole Browne led Madison Central with 27 points including 13 of 17 free throws and seven rebounds. Will Hardin added 18 points including two three point baskets and six rebounds. Braeden Ray recorded 16 points including four three point baskets and four rebounds. Jaylen Davis chipped in with 12 points including two three point baskets.
Micah Glenn led Scott County with 22 points including three three point baskets. Isaiah Haynes added 20 points including four three point baskets and five rebounds. Jeremy Hamilton recorded 12 points and six rebounds. 6-3 Jr. Nick Mosby chipped in with 10 points including three three point baskets and four assists. Elias Richardson added nine points and six rebounds.
