Eastern Kentucky University coach Samantha Williams started the following lineup: 6-1 Jr. Samari Mowbray, 5-7 Jr. De’ayra Davis, 6-2 Jr. I’Liyah Green, 5-6 Jr. Teri Goodlett, and 5-6 Jr. Qay Stanton.  Jacksonville State University coach Rick Pietri countered with 6-0 Jr. Jessie Day, 5-11 GS Destiney Elliott, 6-1 Sr. Chloe Long, 5-6 Jr. Taylor Hawks, and 5-10 Jr. Mckenna Lawrence.

Jacksonville State University led 21-13 after the first quarter on their way to a 68-54 victory over Eastern Kentucky University.  Jacksonville State shot 37.7% from the field including 10 of28 from the three point line.  The Gamecocks connected on 12 of 14 free throws, pulled down 47 rebounds, and scored eight points off seven Eastern Kentucky turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky shot 33.9% from the field including seven of 22 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on seven of 14 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored nine points off eight Jacksonville State turnovers.

Destiney Elliott led Jacksonville State University with 24 points including four three point baskets, nine rebounds, and four assists.  Jessie Day and Taylor Hawks each recorded 10 points including two three point baskets and four rebounds.  Chloe Long added six points, seven rebounds, and four assists.

Qay Stanton led Eastern Kentucky University with 13 points, four rebounds, and three assists.  Teri Goodlett added 12 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and three assists.  6-0 Sr. Catie Kaifes recorded nine points on three three point baskets.  I’Liyah Green chipped in with five points and seven rebounds.  5-11 Jr. Bria Bass added four points and nine rebounds.
