Sacred Heart Academy Donna Moir started the following lineup: 5-10 So. Josie Gilvin, 5-8 Sr. Destinee Marshall, 6-0 Sr. Kristen Clemons, 5-5 Sr. Erin Toller, and 5-6 Fr. Triniti Ralston.  Ryle coach Katie Haitz countered with 5-11 Sr. Maddie Scherr, 5-9 Jr. Brie Crittendon, 5-10 Fr. Abby Holtman, 5-7 Sr. Jaiden Douthit, and 5-8 Sr. Jayden Crist.

 

Sacred Heart Academy outscored Ryle 23-10 in the second quarter on their way to an 83-61 victory over the Lady Raiders.  The score was tied three times and there were three lead changes in the game.  Sacred Heart shot 50.9% from the field including eight of 22 from the three point line.  The Valkyries connected on 17 of 21 free throws, pulled down 44 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 11 Ryle turnovers.  Ryle shot 32.9% from the field including six of 22 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Raiders connected on nine of 15 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 14 Sacred Heart turnovers.

 

Erin Toller led Sacred Heart Academy with 27 points including three three point baskets, 11 rebounds, four assists, and three steals.  Destinee Marshall added 23 points including three three point basket, six of eight free throws, three assists, and two steals.  Kristen Clemons recorded 19 points including seven of eight free throws, 18 rebounds, six assists, and three blocked shots.

 

Maddie Scherr led Ryle with 27 points including three three point baskets, six rebounds, and two assists.  Brie Crittendon added 16 points and 14 rebounds.
