Lexington Catholic coach Brandon Salsman started the following lineup: 6-3 Sr. Luke Wedding, 6-2 Sr. Jackson Smith, 6-4 Sr. Peyton Pelfrey, 6-2 So. Jack Gohmann, and 6-3 Jr. Ben Johnson.  St. Henry coach David Faust countered with 6-3 Jr. Wyatt Vieth, 6-1 Sr. Luke Maher, 6-2 Jr. Jude Bessler, 5-9 Sr. Connor Shea, and 5-10 Sr. Alex Daniel.

 

St. Henry knocked Lexington Catholic from the ranks of the undefeated with a 70-59 victory.  Lexington Catholic led 29-26 at halftime but St. Henry outscored the Knights 19-8 in the third quarter on their way to the victory.  The score was tied three times and there were three lead changes in the game.  St. Henry shot 42% from the field including six of 21 from the three point line.  The Crusaders connected on 22 of 31 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 28 points off 17 Lexington Catholic turnovers.  Lexington Catholic shot 46.8% from the field including six of 20 from beyond the arc.  The Knights connected on nine of 16 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 13 St. Henry turnovers.

 

Wyatt Vieth led St. Henry with 29 points including two three point baskets, nine of 11 free throws, seven rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Jude Bessler added 12 points, 11 rebounds, and five steals.  5-10 Jr. Ryan Butler recorded 10 points including two three point baskets.

 

Ben Johnson led Lexington Catholic with 34 points including four three point baskets, eight rebounds, and two steals.  Jack Gohmann added seven points and three assists.  Luke Wedding recorded six points, five rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
