Paul Laurence Dunbar trailed 19-7 with 10:11 remaining in the game but rallied to defeat Lafayette by a score of 27-19. Paul Laurence Dunbar recorded 14 first downs and 323 yards of total offense. The Bulldogs were penalized six times for 106 yards and had a pass intercepted. Lafayette recorded 16 first downs and 244 yards of total offense. The Generals were penalized eight times for 58 yards and had three passes intercepted.
Kamarion Robinson led Dunbar’s ground game with 54 yards and a touchdown on eight carries. Jamarcus Robinson carried the ball five times for 42 yards. Jake Smith added 13 yards and a touchdown on eight carries. Jake Smith completed 10 of 17 passes for 125 yards and a touchdown with one interception. Tyre Garrard completed his only pass for a 61 yard touchdown. Jamarcus Robinson caught five passes for 91 yards and a touchdown. Mario Paul caught a 40 yard touchdown pass. Shyhiem Drew led the defense with eight solo and two assisted tackles with 3.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 29 yards. Josiah Brown added five solo and one assisted tackles with four of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 21 yards. Christian Skinker recorded four solo and one assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 30 yards. Tyler Johnson added four solo tackles and intercepted a pass. Mario Paul recorded three solo and one assisted tackles and intercepted two passes he returned for a total of 77 yards.
George Anderson led Lafayette’s ground game with 83 yards on 10 carries. Oumar Toure carried the ball eight times for 62 yards and a touchdown. JC Shegog added 36 yards and a touchdown on four carries. Owen Hellard chipped in with 33 yards on eight carries. Drake Nelson completed five of 11 passes for 51 yards and one touchdown with two interceptions. Tanner Pace completed three of nine passes for 10 yards with one interception. JC Shegog returned two kickoffs for 38 yards with a long return of 24 yards. Jimmie Johnson led the defense with six solo and two assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards. Brandon Little added five solo and two assisted tackles. Jordan Delli recorded four solo and two assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 14 yards. Cole Lockhart chipped in with four solo tackles and Elijah Stone intercepted a pass.
