Bourbon County coach Bill Watson started the following lineup: 5-8 Fr. Lyndsay Johnson, 5-7 Jr. Laurin Bentley, 5-9 Fr. McLain Murphy, 5-6 Sr. Ariana Penney, and 5-7 Jr. Kennedy Kelly.  Lexington Christian Academy coach Michael Menifee countered with 5-8 Jr. Grace Combs, 5-6 So. MacKenzie Buckler, 6-0 Fr. Emilie Teall, 5-6 So. Jaylin McClanahan, and 5-8 Jr. Bethany Selby. 

 

Bourbon County led 41-26 in the third quarter and withstood a furious rally by Lexington Christian Academy to earn a 53-51 victory.  Bourbon County shot 43.9% from the field including seven of 16 from the three point line.  The Lady Colonels connected on 20 of 19 free throws, pulled down 18 rebounds, and scored 31 points off 30 LCA turnovers.  LCA shot 58.6% from the field including two of four from beyond the arc.  The Lady Eagles connected on 15 of 17 free throws, pulled down 20 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 22 Bourbon County turnovers.

 

McLain Murphy led Bourbon County with 16 points including three three point baskets and four steals.  Kennedy Kelly added 10 points and six assists.  Lyndsay Johnson recorded eight points including two three point baskets.  Ariana Penney chipped in with six points and five rebounds.

 

Bethany Selby led LCA with 19 points and five rebounds.  Emilie Teall added 12 points and four rebounds.  Grace Combs recorded seven points, two rebounds, four assists, and three steals.  Jaylin McClanahan chipped in with seven points and four assists.
