Lafayette coach Michael Mendenhall III started the following lineup: 6-3 Sr. Eric Powell, 6-1 Sr. Cameron King, 6-9 So. Ray Suratt, 5-10 Jr. Evan Dreux, and 5-11 Sr. Fousseyni Diallo.  Scott County coach Billy Hicks countered with 6-2 Sr. Cooper Robb, 6-0 Jr. Lorenzo Williams. 6-7 Jr. Michael Moreno, 5-9 Jr. Diablo Stewart, and 6-1 Jr. Bryce Long.

 

Scott County outscored Lafayette 21-8 in the final quarter to earn a 75-60 victory over the Generals.  The score was tied five times and there were seven lead changes in the game.  Scott County shot 48.5% from the field including four of 17 from the three point line.  The Cardinals connected on five of six free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 18 Lafayette turnovers.  Lafayette shot 41.5% from the field including four of 18 from beyond the arc.  The Generals connected on 12 of 14 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 16 Scott County turnovers.

 

Michael Moreno led Scott County with 26 points, 15 rebounds, and four blocked shots.  5-11 Jr. Glenn Covington added 11 points including three three point baskets, five assists, and two steals.  Lorenzo Williams chipped in with 11 points and three assists.  Bryce Long recorded 10 points, four rebounds, and three assists.

 

Eric Powell led Lafayette with 14 points, three rebounds, two blocked shots, and four steals.  Fousseyni Diallo added 13 points and four assists.  Ray Suratt recorded 10 points, seven rebounds, and two blocked shots.
