Norfolk State coach Robert Jones started the following lineup: 6-8 Jr. Alex Long, 6-5 Jr. Derrik Jamerson Jr., 7-0 Sr. Dan Robinson, 6-3 So. Steven Whitley, and 6-4 Sr. Kyle Williams.  Eastern Kentucky University coach Dan McHale countered with 6-8 Jr. Jackson Davis, 6-7 Sr. Zach Charles, 6-9 Jr. Nick Mayo, 5-10 So. Dujuanta Weaver, and 6-2 Fr. JacQuess Hobbs.

 

Eastern Kentucky University defeated Norfolk State by a score of 83-66.  Eastern Kentucky shot 52.7% from the field including 10 of 26 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on 15 of 20 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 16 Norfolk State turnovers.  Norfolk State shot 49% from the field including seven of 18 from beyond the arc.  The Spartans connected on nine of 15 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 11 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.

 

Jackson Davis led a balanced Eastern Kentucky scoring attack with 15 points.  Nick Mayo added 14 points and four rebounds.  6-6 So. DeAndre Dishman recorded 12 points and four rebounds.  5-11 Sr. Dillon Avare also scored 12 points on four three point baskets.  6-5 Fr. Peyton Broughton also scored 10 points.  JacQuess Hobbs pulled down seven rebounds .and dished out eight assists.

 

6-1 Fr. Mastadi Pitt led Norfolk State with 19 points.  Derrik Jamerson added 14 points including four three point baskets.  Steven Whitley recorded 10 points including two three point baskets, five rebounds, and six assists.  Alex Long chipped in with 10 points, five rebounds, two blocked shots, and two steals.
