Scott County coach Billy Hicks started the following lineup: 6-2 Sr. Cooper Robb, 6-1 Jr. Bryce Long, 6-7 Jr. Michael Moreno, 5-11 Jr. Glenn Covington, and 6-0 Jr. Lorenzo Williams.  Frederick Douglass coach Kurt Young countered with 6-3 So. Nathan Mack, 6-3 Sr. Justin Mitchell, 6-6 So. Lincoln Bush, 5-10 Jr. Rasaan Thompson, and 5-9 So. Nakyir Joyce.

 

Scott County led 38-34 at halftime and pulled away in the second half for an 86-52 victory.  Scott County shot 52.3% from the field including five of 19 from the three point line.  The Cardinals connected on 13 of 21 free throws, pulled down 46 rebounds, and scored 29 points off 26 Frederick Douglass turnovers.  Frederick Douglass shot 32.7% from the field including five of 26 from beyond the arc.  The Broncos connected on 11 of 18 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 17 Scott County turnovers.

 

Michael Moreno led Scott County with 24 points, 14 rebounds, and three steals.  Cooper Robb added 15 points, seven rebounds, two blocked shots, and five steals.  Lorenzo Williams recorded 14 points.

 

Justin Mitchell led Frederick Douglass with 15 points, four rebounds, and three steals.  Rasaan Thompson, 6-5 Jr. Skylar Hart, and 6-1 So. Amiron Joyce each scored seven points.
