Lafayette coach Allison Denton started the following lineup: 5-9 Sr. Caroline Bennett, 5-8 Fr. Rylie Grantz, 5-9 Sr. Tekiya Garr-Carter, 5-3 Sr. Terri Abram, and 5-7 Jr. Lindi DeBilzan.  Lincoln County coach Cassandra McWhorter countered with 5-10 So. Trinity Shearer, 5-9 Jr. Zaria Napier, 5-5 Jr. Maddy Boyle, and 5-11 Jr. Emma King.

 

Lafayette led 24-16 after the first quarter but Lincoln County took control in the second quarter and led 40-36 at halftime on their way to an 82-60 victory.  Lincoln County shot 45% from the field including six of 21 from the three point line.  The Lady Patriots connected on 22 of 27 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 33 points off 22 Lafayette turnovers.  Lafayette shot 45.1% from the field including two of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Generals connected on 12 of 16 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 11 Lincoln County turnovers.

 

Kaitlyn Wilks led Lincoln County with 30 points including 12 of 14 free throws and 11 rebounds.  Emma King added 19 points, six rebounds, and three steals.  Maddy Boyle recorded 19 points including three three point baskets, eight assists, and four steals.

 

Caroline Bennett led Lafayette with 21 points and nine rebounds.  Terri Abram added 21 points, four rebounds, and four assists.  Lindi DeBilzan chipped in with nine points and four assists.
