Lafayette Allison Denton started the following lineup: 5-9 Sr. Caroline Bennett, 5-8 Fr. Rylie Grantz, 5-9 Sr. Tekiya Garr-Carter, 5-3 Sr. Terri Abram, and 5-7 Jr. Lindi DeBilzan.  Franklin County coach Joey Thacker countered with 5-8 Sr. Josie Thacker, 5-6 So. Jasmine Simpson, 5-8 Jr. Samareah Levarity, 5-5 Sr. Emily Jordan, and 5-5 Sr. Kindall Talley.

 

Franklin County trailed 23-15 after the first quarter but rallied to take a 37-30 halftime lead on their way to a 62-58 victory.  There were five lead changes and two ties in the game.  Franklin County shot 43.9% from the field including 11 of 20 from the three point line.  The Lady Flyers connected on 15 of 23 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored nine points off nine Lafayette turnovers.  Lafayette shot 35.6% from the field including six of 24 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Generals connected on 10 of 16 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 20 Franklin County turnovers.

 

Kindall Talley led Franklin County with 20 points including four three point baskets, four rebounds, and four assists.  5-10 8th Grader Patience Laster added 10 points and nine rebounds.  5-4 Jr. Julia Welsh chipped in with eight points including two three point baskets.  Jasmine Simpson also scored eight points including two three point baskets and four rebounds.

 

Caroline Bennett led Lafayette with 21 points including four three point baskets and 11 rebounds.  Tekiya Garr-Carter added 16 points and six rebounds.  Lindi DeBilzan recorded nine points, six rebounds, and three assists.  Terri Abram added five points and six assists.
