Wolfe County coach Robert Creech started the following lineup: 6-3 Sr. Jordan Vanderpool, 5-11 Sr. Bradley Lawson, 6-3 Sr. Taylor Rose, 5-9 Fr. Devin Stone, and 5-11 Sr. Corey Rice. Sayre coach Rob Goodman countered with 6-3 So. Jake Duby, 6-2 Jr. Jack Henderson, 6-7 Sr. Quinn Pergande, 5-10 So. Robbie Goodman, and 6-2 Sr. Alex Webb.
Sayre survived a three point barrage (18 made 3-point baskets) by Wolfe County to earn a 72-65 victory. Sayre shot 46.8% from the field including five of 14 from the three point line. The Spartans connected on 23 of 28 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 15 Wolfe County turnovers. Wolfe County shot 39.3% from the field including 18 of 40 from beyond the arc. The Wolves connected on three of eight free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 10 Sayre turnovers.
Robbie Goodman led Sayre with 21 points including 10 of 12 free throws. Quinn Pergande added 19 points and 23 rebounds. Jack Henderson added 12 points on four three point baskets. Jake Duby also recorded 12 points.
Devin Stone led Wolfe County with 26 points including eight three point baskets. Bradley Lawson added 21 points including five three point baskets, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists. 6-0 Fr. Nathan Landsaw chipped in with nine points on three three point baskets.
