Sacred Heart Academy vs. Lexington Catholic (Girls)

Sacred Heart Academy Donna Moir started the following lineup: 5-10 Fr. Grace Berger, 5-7 Fr. Kia Sivils, 5-10 Jr. Lydia Taylor, 5-4 Sr. Ashley Johnson, and 5-4 Sr. Gretchen Samsel.  Lexington Catholic coach Scott True countered with 5-8 Sr. Rachel Blake, 5-8 Jr. Sarah Bonn, 5-9 Sr. Caroline Lynch, 5-2 Sr. Bailey Browning, and 5-6 Sr. Tori Pippen.

Sacred Heart Academy defeated Lexington Catholic by a score of 53-48.  Sacred Heart shot 38.1% from the field including four of 10 from the three point line.  The Valkyries connected on 17 of 23 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 15 Lexington Catholic turnovers.  Lexington Catholic shot 36.1% from the field including five of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Knights connected on 17 of 22 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored seven points off eight Sacred Heart turnovers.

Grace Berger led Sacred Heart with 14 points, six rebounds, four assists, and five steals.  Gretchen Samsel added 12 points.  5-7 Jr. Meghan Colley chipped in with nine points on three three point baskets.

Rachel Blake led Lexington Catholic with 28 points including three three point baskets.  Caroline Lynch added 14 points including nine of 13 free throws.
