Lincoln County vs. Madison Central (Girls)

Lincoln County coach Cassandra McWhorter started the following lineup: 5-6 Jr. Spencer Simms, 5-2 Jr. Kelsi Honaker, 5-9 Jr. Tiandra Hocker, 5-3 So. Caitlin Hall, and 5-4 So. Cristin Hall.  Madison Central coach Robert Cooksey countered with 5-10 Fr. Lindsay Johns, 5-10 Jr. Raevin Cain, 6-2 Sr. Shadae Bosley, 5-5 Sr. Bailey O’Bryan, and 5-7 Sr. Haley Christian.

Lincoln County captured a 70-63 overtime victory over Madison Central  Madison Central led 56-52 with 20 seconds left in regulation but Lincoln County fought back and tied the score at 57-57 on a long three point basket by Spencer Simms with five seconds left in regulation to force overtime.  There were 12 lead changes and nine ties in this game.

Lincoln County shot 32.3% from the field including six of 15 from the three point line.  The Lady Patriots connected on 22 of 26 free throws, pulled down 43 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 18 Madison Central turnovers.  Madison Central shot 40% from the field including one of nine from beyond the arc.  The Lady Indians connected on 18 of 27 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored eight points off 19 Lincoln County turnovers.

Spencer Simms led Lincoln County with 19 points including three three point baskets.  Kelsi Honaker added 14 points including 10 of 14 free throws.  Caitlin Hall chipped in with 11 points and nine rebounds.  Tiandra Hocker recorded 11 points and five rebounds and Cristin Hall also reached double figures with 10 points.

Shadae Bosley, despite being hampered by early foul woes, recorded a triple-double for Madison Central with 17 points, 16 rebounds, and 11 blocked shots.  Bailey O’Bryan added 15 points and five assists.  Lindsay Johns recorded 14 points and eight rebounds.
