Lafayette defeated Bryan Station by a score of 48-32.  Lafayette shot 36.4% from the field including one of 11 from the three point line.  The Lady Generals connected on 15 of 19 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 25 points off 22 Bryan Station turnovers.  Bryan Station shot 32.5% from the field including four of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Defenders connected on two of six free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 13 Lafayette turnovers.

5-11 Fr. Kiara Pankins led Lafayette with 12 points.  Ashanti Thomas added 10 points and nine rebounds.  Dee Givens recorded 10 points and eight rebounds.  Ken’yale Demus chipped in with nine points.

Lakeysha Stennis led Bryan Station with 18 points including four three point baskets and five rebounds.  Destiny Cozart added six points and Jamayah Fields pulled down 10 rebounds.

The third time proved to be the charm tonight as Lexington Christian Academy finally captured the victory with a thrilling 78-76 double overtime win over Lexington Catholic.  LCA led 53-41 after three quarters but Lexington Catholic rallied and tied the score 62-62 on two free throws by Reese Ryan with seconds remaining to force overtime.  LCA led 70-67 late in the first overtime but Lexington Catholic’s Tanner Johnson nailed a three pointer with four seconds remaining to tie the score at 70-70 to force a second overtime.  LCA’s Drew Trimble finally settled the issue with a layup with 12 seconds remaining to give the Eagles the 78-76 victory.

LCA shot 57.8% from the field including six of 13 from the three point line.  The Eagles connected on 20 of 30 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored nine points off seven Lexington Catholic turnovers.  Lexington Catholic shot 40% from the field including seven of 25 from beyond the arc.  The Knights connected on 21 of 28 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 13 LCA turnovers.

Matt Rose led LCA with 25 points including two three point baskets, nine rebounds, and four assists.  Michael Young added 20 points and five rebounds.  Young was eight of nine from the field and four of five from the free throw line.  Drew Trimble recorded 11 points.
