Mercy Academy coach Mark Evans started the following lineup: 5-10 Sr. Morgan Doherty, 5-10 So. Sarah Parr, 6-0 So. Malerie Martin, 5-7 Sr. Kayla Richardson, and 5-8 Sr. Whitney Hartlage.  Marion County coach Trent Milby countered with 6-0 Sr. Kyvin Goodin-Rogers, 5-11 Sr. Logan Powell, 6-1 Jr. Alexus Calhoun, 5-9 Sr. Patrice Tonge, and 5-11 Sr. Makayla Epps.

Marion County led 29-27 at halftime and pulled away in the second half for a 71-56 victory over Mercy Academy.  Marion County shot 38.3% from the field including one of 18 from the three point line.  The Lady Knights connected on 14 of 22 free throws, pulled down 47 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 21 Mercy Academy turnovers.  Mercy Academy shot 33.3% from the field including 10 of 22 from beyond the arc.  The Jaguars connected on six of 14 free throws, pulled down 50 rebounds, and scored five points off seven Marion County turnovers.

Makayla Epps led Marion County with 22 points, six rebounds, three assists, and seven steals.  Kyvin Goodin-Rogers added 18 points, seven rebounds, five blocked shots, and three steals.  Patrice Tonge recorded 13 points, 12 rebounds, and three steals.

Whitney Hartlage led Mercy Academy with 17 points including five three point baskets and 15 rebounds.  Kayla Richardson added 12 points and six assists.  Malerie Martin recorded 15 points including two three point baskets.  Morgan Doherty chipped in with nine points and eight rebounds.
