Trinity coach Mike Szabo started the following lineup: 6-4 Jr. Darryl Hicks, 6-2 Sr. Troy Saxton, 6-6 Sr. Nathan Dieudonne, 6-1 Jr. James Quick, and 6-1 Sr. Charles Foster.  St. Xavier coach Kevin Klein countered with 6-3 Jr. Alex Jones, 6-3 Sr. Nathan Smith, 6-9 Jr. Brock Kiesler, 5-10 Jr. Justin Moody, and 5-10 So. Robert Shaw.

Trinity utilized a balanced scoring attack to defeat St. Xavier by a score of 67-46.  Trinity led 15-12 after the first quarter and outscored the Tigers 23-12 in the second quarter to take control of the game and led 38-24 at halftime.  Trinity’s defense forced 17 turnovers which they converted into 27 points.

Trinity shot 46% from the field including five of 15 from the three point line.  The Shamrocks connected on 16 of 23 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 27 points off 17 St. Xavier turnovers.  Trinity held a 14-7 advantage in second effort points.  St. Xavier shot 33.3% from the field including three of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Tigers connected on nine of 14 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored five points off nine Trinity turnovers.

James Quick led Trinity with 15 points including two three point baskets and nine rebounds.  Troy Saxton and Darryl Hicks added 12 points each.  Charles Foster chipped in with 11 points.  Nathan Dieudonne recorded seven points and 12 rebounds.

Brock Kiesler led St. Xavier with 13 points and four rebounds.  Justin Moody added seven points and four rebounds.  Alex Jones chipped in with six points, four rebounds, and four assists.  Robert Shaw also recorded six points.  6-1 Jr. Christian Hardy pulled down eight rebounds.
