Brown coach Scott Morton started the following lineup: 5-6 Sr. Miles Amani, 5-4 Sr. Kaelin Smith, 5-7 Jr. Haley Oakes, 5-0 8^th grader Terry White, and 5-0 7^th grader Darshe Cain.  Sayre coach Scotty Sutton countered with 6-0 Sr. Maddie Mitchell, 5-7 So. Grace Rahman, 6-3 Fr. Gabby Bowie, 5-7 Sr. Emily Culbertson, and 5-5 Sr. Sophie O’Rourke.

Sayre led 23-3 after the first quarter on their way to a 66-43 victory over Brown.  Sayre shot 49.2% from the field including four of 13 from the three point line.  The Lady Spartans connected on four of six free throws, pulled down 48 rebounds, and scored four points off three Brown turnovers.  Brown shot 22.7% from the field including four of 28 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Bears connected on five of nine free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored seven points off nine Sayre turnovers.

Gabby Bowie recorded a unique triple-double for Sayre with 28 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 blocked shots.  Bowie was 14 of 15 from the field and missed her only two free throws. Sophie O’Rourke added 16 points including four three point baskets.  Maddie Mitchell recorded 12 points, nine rebounds, and four assists.  Emily Culbertson dished out 10 assists.

Kaelin Smith led Brown with 14 points and six rebounds.  Miles Amani added with 12 points and 12 rebounds.  Haley Oakes also scored 12 points including three three point baskets.  5-5 Fr. Jacora Warner pulled down 11 rebounds.
