Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus started the following lineup: 6-5 Jr. Quan Taylor, 6-1 Sr. John O’Bryan, 6-6 Sr. Hunter Allen, 6-1 Jr. Ken-Jah Bosley, and 6-1 Jr. Dominique Hawkins.  Lexington Catholic coach Brandon Salsman countered with 6-6 Sr. Patrick Keller, 6-5 Sr. Craig Floyd, 6-9 Jr. Jack Whitman, 5-10 Jr. Dillon Avare, and 5-10 Sr. Bryan Woomer.

Madison Central defeated Lexington Catholic by a score of 72-57.  Lexington Catholic led 20-11 early in the second quarter but Madison Central went on a 20-0 run to take a 31-20 lead and control of the game.  Madison Central’s guards held a 48-3 advantage over Lexington Catholic guards in points scored tonight.

Madison Central shot 54.3% from the field including five of 10 from the three point line.  The Indians connected on 17 of 26 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 17 Lexington Catholic turnovers.  Lexington Catholic shot 42% from the field including 10 of 26 from beyond the arc.  The Knights connected on five of 11 free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 16 Madison Central turnovers.

Dominique Hawkins led Madison Central with 28 points.  Ken-Jah Bosley added 20 points including three three point baskets, six rebounds, three assists, and three steals.  Quan Taylor chipped in with 13 points and seven rebounds.  Hunter Allen pulled down 12 rebounds.

Craig Floyd led Lexington Catholic with 23 points including seven three point baskets.  Jack Whitman added 18 points and eight rebounds but fouled out after logging 19:26 minutes of playing time.  Patrick Keller chipped in with 10 points.

Megan Bretz, and 5-3 7^th grader Grace Kiskaden.  Sayre coach Scotty Sutton countered with 6-0 Sr. Maddie Mitchell, 5-7 So. Grace Rahman, 6-3 Fr. Gabby Bowie, 5-5 Sr. Sophie O’Rourke, and 5-7 So. Hadyn White.

Sayre eked out a 39-37 victory over Nicholas County tonight.  There were six lead changes and 11 ties in this game.  Sayre shot 44.1% from the field including one of seven from the three point line.  The Lady Spartans connected on eight of 17 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored nine points off 17 Nicholas County turnovers.  Nicholas County shot 27.1% from the field including two of 17 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Jackets connected on nine of 13 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 21 Sayre turnovers.  Nicholas County held a 14-3 advantage on second effort points and attempted 14 more shots (48-34) from the field than Sayre.

Gabby Bowie led Sayre with 14 points, eight rebounds, two assists, and seven blocked shots.  Maddie Mitchell added 14 points, eight rebounds, and three assists.

Elizabeth Johnson led Nicholas County with 11 points.  Grace Kiskaden added nine points and three steals.  Morgan Bretz pulled down eight rebounds.  5-9 Sr. Robyn Cohorn recorded two points, seven rebounds, and four steals.

Sayre raced out to a 31-14 halftime lead on their way to a 73-54 victory over Nicholas County.  Sayre shot 48.9% from the field including two of 11 from the three point line.  The Spartans connected on 11 of 25 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 13 Nicholas County turnovers.  Nicholas County shot 37% from the field including seven of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Bluejackets connected on seven of 22 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 12 Sayre turnovers.

Ray Brewer had a “monster” game tonight and led Sayre with 29 points, 21 rebounds, and seven blocked shots.  Brewer was seven of 12 from the field and 15 of 21 from the free throw line.  Reid Freeman added 18 points.

Lexington Catholic led 26-17 in the second quarter but Montgomery County rallied to earn a 47-46 victory.  The score was tied 34-34 after three quarters.  There were 13 lead changes and nine ties in this game.  Lexington Catholic had two free throws with no time remaining on the clock for the chance to tie or win the game but missed both free shots.

Montgomery County shot 43.6% from the field including five of 11 from the three point line.  The Indians connected on eight of 13 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored eight points off 11 Lexington Catholic turnovers.  Lexington Catholic shot 35.3% from the field including five of 22 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Knights connected on five of eight free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored six points off 17 Montgomery County turnovers.  Lexington Catholic attempted 12 more shots (51-39) from the field than Montgomery County.

Macie Spence led Montgomery County with 14 points and seven rebounds.  Erica Rogers added 10 points and six rebounds.

Larryn Brooks led Madison Central with 13 points, five rebounds, seven assists, and nine steals.  Ashton Feldhaus added 11 points and four rebounds.  Heather Hinkle and 5-5 So. Bailey O’Bryan chipped in with eight and seven points respectively.

Isaiah Ivey led Scott County with 21 points.  Quin Richardson added 20 points including four three point baskets.  Richardson was seven of eight from the field including four of four from the three point line, and two of two from the free throw line.  Trenton Gilbert chipped in with 14 points including two three point baskets.  Tamron Manning recorded eight points and six steals.
