Newport Central Catholic coach Ron Dawn started the following lineup: 5-10 Sr. Jamie Kohls, 5-9 Sr. Aubrey Muench, 5-10 So. Nicole Kiernan, 5-4 Sr. Olivia Huber, and 5-7 Sr. Alex Schalk.  Lexington Catholic coach Chelsea Chowning countered with 6-0 Sr. Alex Botkin, 6-0 Sr. Emily Johns, 6-0 Sr. Elizabeth Walton, 5-8 Sr. Bonnie Rhule, and 5-9 Jr. Octavia Wilson.

Lexington Catholic defeated Newport Central Catholic by a score of 56-27.  Lexington Catholic shot 57.1% from the field including four of 14 from the three point line.  The Lady Knights connected on four of five free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 14 NCC turnovers.  NCC shot 23.3% from the field including zero of nine from beyond the arc.  The Lady Thoroughbreds connected on seven of nine free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored nine points off 13 Lexington Catholic turnovers.

Alex Botkin led Lexington Catholic with 17 points and eight rebounds.  Emily Johns added 10 points.  5-9 Fr. Rachel Blake chipped in with eight points.  Elizabeth Walton recorded six points, six rebounds, three blocked shots, and three steals.  Octavia Wilson added six points, four rebounds, and eight assists.

Nicole Kiernan led NCC with seven points and eight rebounds.  Jamie Kohls and Aubrey Muench added six points each.
