Scott County  vs.  Hazard  (Coal Classic)

Scott County coach Billy Hicks started the following lineup: 6-2 Sr. Isaiah Ivey, 6-1 Sr. Josh Harris, 6-3 Sr. Tamron Manning, 5-10 Jr. Quin Richardson, and 5-11 So. Trenton Gilbert.  Hazard coach Allen Holland countered with 6-1 So. Josh Hollan, 6-1 Jr. Tyler Triplett, 6-1 So. Mack Hall, 6-1 Jr. Jarrod Combs, and 5-10 So. Matt Thompson.

The score was tied 38-38 sfter three quarters but Scott County outscored Hazard 26-6 in the final quarter to earn a 64-44 victory.  Scott County shot 41.3% from the field including six of 20 from the three point line.  The Cardinals connected on six of seven free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 18 Hazard turnovers.  Hazard shot 37.5% from the field including three of 11 from beyond the arc.  The Bulldogs connected on 17 of 29 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 12 Scott County turnovers.

Trenton Gilbert led Scott County with 20 points including six three point baskets and pulled down nine rebounds.  Isaiah Ivey added 19 points.

Josh Hollan led Hazard with 14 points and five rebounds.  Matt Thompson added 11 points on 11 of 13 from the free throw line.

Hazard          15  10  13   6 – 44
