Henry Clay coach Daniel Brown started the following lineup: 6-5 So. Trey Grundy, 6-0 Sr. Alex Blackburn, 6-5 Jr. Darien Tichenor, 6-0 So. Christen Cunningham, and 5-8 Sr. Wes Kimball.  Tates Creek coach Wayne Breeden countered with 6-4 Jr. Braxton McFarland, 6-4 Fr. Jordan Fucci, 6-4 Sr. Taylor Grimes, 6-2 Sr. Darius Gibson, and 5-9 Sr. Brian Tilford.

Tates Creek connected on 11 of 12 free throws in the final quarter to earn a 50-46 victory over Henry Clay.  Henry Clay led 23-13 at halftime but Tates Creek rallied to outscore Henry Clay 20-10 in the third quarter.  Tates Creek shot 41.2% from the field including two of nine from the three point line.  The Commodores connected on 20 of 25 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 12 Henry Clay turnovers.  Henry Clay shot 43.8% from the field including one of 10 from beyond the arc.  The Blue Devils connected on three of eight free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 18 Tates Creek turnovers.

Darius Gibson led Tates Creek with 13 points including 11 of 13 from the free throw line and pulled down eight rebounds.  Braxton McFarland added 10 points and six rebounds.  Jordan Fucci recorded seven points and eight rebounds.

Trey Grundy led Henry Clay with 25 points and five rebounds.
