Highlands coach Jaime Walz Richey started the following lineup: 6-0 So. Leah Schaefer, 5-10 So. Jesse Daley, 5-9 Sr. Kelsey Dunn, 5-6 So. Ava Abner, and 5-6 Sr. Allie Conner. Madison Central coach Robbie Cooksey countered with 5-11 So. Ashton Feldhaus, 5-9 Sr. Jenna Cornelison, 5-10 Jr. Kristin Congleton, 5-6 Sr. Erika Parks, and 5-5 So. Larryn Brooks.
Madison Central defeated Highlands by a score of 75-49. Madison central shot 53.4% from the field including four of 13 from the three point line. The Lady Indians connected on nine of 12 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 18 Highlands turnovers. Highlands shot 27.3% from the field including two of 18 from beyond the arc. The Bluebirds connected on 11 of 17 free throws, pulled down 46 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 10 Madison Central turnovers. Highlands held a 20-2 advantage in second chance points.
Jenna Cornelison led Madison Central with 24 points and four steals. Ashton Feldhaus added 22 points including two three point baskets. Larryn Brooks chipped in with 14 points, seven rebounds, and five steals. Kristin Congleton pulled down 11 rebounds.
Jesse Daley led Highlands with 23 points and 17 rebounds. Leah Schaefer added 12 points.
