2010 11th Region Tournament (Boys)

Saturday March 6th, 2010 Day 3

 

Tates Creek  (21-6)  vs.  Scott County  (25-6)  (Boys)  (Semifinal)

Scott County defeated Tates Creek by a score of 69-58.  Scott County shot 57.4% from the field including two of 11 from the three point line.  The Cardinals connected on 13 of 21 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 25 points off 19 Tates Creek turnovers.  Tates Creek shot 46.7% from the field including two of nine from beyond the arc.  The Commodores connected on 14 of 21 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 14 Scott County turnovers.

6-4 Sr. Chad Jackson led Scott County with 24 points and five steals.  Jackson was nine of 11 from the field and six of 11 from the free throw line.  6-2 Sr. Ge-Lawn Guyn added 14 points and five rebounds.

6-3 Jr. Marcellus Barksdale led Tates Creek with 19 points and nine rebounds.  6-2 Jr. Ryan Fucci added 15 points.

Henry Clay  (16-16)  vs.  Lafayette  (21-6)  (Boys)  (Semifinal)

Lafayette defeated Henry Clay by a score of 66-53.  Lafayette shot 54.3% from the field including two of nine from the three point line.  The Generals connected on 14 of 15 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 14 Henry Clay turnovers.  Henry Clay shot 51.2% from the field including five of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Blue Devils connected on six of 12 free throws, pulled down 20 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 11 Lafayette turnovers.

6-2 Sr. Domonique Hagans led Lafayette with 20 points and eight rebounds.  6-1 Sr. Michael Walker and 6-7 8th grader Jackson Davis added 10 points each.

5-8 So. Wes Kimball led Henry Clay with 19 points including three three point baskets.  6-5 Jr. Daniel Kiesling added 10 points and six rebounds.
